Hi everyone!
Once again, I collaborated with the amazing and wonderful singer, Felicia Farerre! As always, it was a real pleasure to work with her and I'm looking forward to do it again in the future! :D
This song is like a twin for "Sun of the Night". It's obviously Nightmare Moon-themed and here's some backstory about the track:
The high-priestess of the Cult of the Moon chant the return of her goddess - her hero - who was banished to the moon a thousand years ago. She wishes for an eternal night, for the peaceful sky full of stars... and for the end of the creatures of the light.
It has been too long since Nightmare Moon awaits and justice shall be given. The Night is beautiful, the Night is almighty.
Nightmare Moon will come back and the Night will last forever!

i love the line “praise the night, as it will Last Forever” because luna’s thing is that she raises and lowers the moon, and in real life, the moon is always in the sky. but also because, somewhere in the world, it is night, so it will last forever.

It's almost frightening, how you can practically feel the atmosphere in this song.
I believe the background choir and Felicias performace definitely add to that.

I always liked Nightmare Moon, everyone says she's all evil, but when I look at her, I see a pony who just wanted to be loved.

In one of the alternative present we clearly see Celestia banished on the moon for I suppose 1000 years, and she totally brainwashed RD and Rarity and she's clearly acting like a dictator. As much as I love her design and the way she is as a vilain, she's not to be excused about this, she just had to ask for attention to her Sister instead of going apeshit and raise the revolition banner

@@aidansmith5346 rarity and rainbow in episode one (the point of divergence between the two universe) Are as we know them, generous and loyal. In the timeline were we see them both working for NM rarity became an elitist and rainbow became loyal yes but to a totalitarian state instead of her friend. And a shift that big in your ethics is nothing more than huge ass propaganda which might've affected your views, or she magically brainwashed them both because they're the best at what they do so NM can use them for her own interest.And the way she rule... That's a totalitarian dictatorship with personality cult if you ask me. Reminds me of 20th century dictators.

Oh my GOSH I just noticed a version of Nerath's lemotif at 1:45. This is a masterpiece. All of the Inifinite Eclipse songs are, but the tie to what is coming that is foreshadowed here is incredible.

This came out of nowhere. Such an eerily and mysterious build up that mystifies the mind. A march of darkness, slowly covering and consuming the land while restoring the sky's brilliance and magnificence, even as the realm descends into an era of tyranny.
Oh the day breaker one was amazing, but this is a masterpiece as always

The song isn’t about nightmare moon, even though it appears to be
It is actually about nerath, and how she will come soon. She is avenging the curse that separated her and aqasha from their bodies.
Naigessa is singing about the return of her goddess, and how she will being eternal black with only stars to light the way.
I tried to explain the best I could, but again most of this is inspired by another person who commented on the vip of ‘sun of the night’.
I have no idea what this whole thing is about.

Oh! This seems pretty nice. So this is an overview to tie the songs' stories together? But people don't tend to read overviews... Is anything else going to accompany it as well, like a book or something? Will these be compiled into an album someday?

I wish there was another song to follow this with Felicia Farerre and Aloma Steele. The Priestess praying to her goddess who answers. A two part singing like the tides, back and forth. Pleading, answering, adoration, cool acceptance, oath of loyalty, promises of the world to come. The tide of calling builds and swells until it breaks with the two singing in harmony of the coming power of the night and their desire to share it with all.
