There are A LOT of ppl I can't share this with b/c of the “blue language” -- which is a shame b/c it is a great story! ‘FTL suppository...’ I actually dropped my phone as I bursted out laughing! Phone broke! Got newest Samsung, so I'm ok. More of these, please! And I'll leave my brand-new phone on the table when I listen to related stories so I don't need get another one! Great story! Worth the phone!
This author has style. Good story, well written. Kudos! Any other stories by this author? The narration was also very good. No repeats or terrible pauses or jump cuts. Good job, very enjoyable.
Absolutely great story! 👍💪 So refreshing to listen to something, that's not the same "humans, the underdog, standing up against the tyranny, and revealing their true might" -type shit that 99% of these stories usually are.
To be fair, that was exactly what they were used for.. rather than kill a bunch of planet-sized maddened gods, they launched literal FTL missiles full of mood-stabilizing drugs into their rectum...
during the second world war, British boffs - eggheads created a new type of armour for ships/tanks that was literally made of compressed ice/sawdust and was totally resistant to bullets - to the point during the show and tell a bullet ricocheted from a compressed ice/sawdust block and almost took churchills head off.
It's called "Pike-crete" - when a minor ship was made in Canada, it took three years to melt in a lake. When Pike wanted to impress Winston Churchill, he barged into Churchill's bathroom and threw a block of it into Churchill's bathtub - with Churchill in it - and it made quite the splash. Later, a large caliber round was shot at a block and it ricochetted off it. It was estimated that a full sized ship could withstand several torpedoes.
I wonder if there is any story about a civilization at a level of development similar to ours in which a voyager flies into their space and they try to decipher the disc on it (of course humanity is already an interstellar civilization since the voyager had enough time to get there but they haven't discovered us yet)

"It's not what you did, son, that angers me so. It's who you did it to." Who? That fucking nobody? That "fuckin' nobody"... is Humanity. They once were an associate of ours. They call them "Baba Yaga." The Boogeyman? Well Humanity isn't exactly the Boogeyman. They're the ones you send to kill the fucking Boogeyman. Oh.
huh... Humans are baba yaga!! The failure to properly indicate the shifts from the meeting between the Emperor and the Prez to the later prison action with the former Crown Prince is VERY annoying.
"keep my wifes name outta your mouth" lmao
Followed by the ultimate slap!

Good story. 👏🏽 Original, creative, and not a single "palpable" to be heard. 😁
I am beginning to hate that word.
@@lindapockrus5660same
Now I want to write a story that intentionally overuses it.
@@UpperDarbyDetailing I can tell that the feeling you have is so intense that it's palpable. 😆
@@thatotherguy7596 😂 can’t forget that the human’s sense of grim determination is palpable. Just put ALL of the cliché AI words/phrases in it.

Really we are our galaxy version of the Chiss
Is anyone else wondering about the reason for the ship to be made out of ice and sawdust?

offs another story that drifted into nonsense.
A wonderful story that was marred everytime the "F" word was used.
Go over to UA-cam kids if words hurt your feelings.

The "Zelensky", tell me you are a lefturd with just one name...
With that side, good history.
