- While the Satara Lion Pride Lionesses and the four small Lion Cubs of Casper The White Lion and his Shish Brothers are walking down the road they heard something that made them run.
The reason they ran away is only for the safety of their cubs by not confronting a clan of Hyenas that were following them at a distance.
Hyenas are killing machines and will not hesitate to attack and kill small Lion Cubs.
Lions and Hyenas are eternal enemies!
Filmed on the H6 to the South of Satara Rest-camp in Kruger National Park.
GAME DRIVE ETIQUETTE - RULES (SANParks):
- When you come across a sighting, slowly pull over on the side of the road closest to the animal, but keep a safe distance and turn OFF your engine
- If there are animals in the road, immediately stop at least 20 m from them
- The lane furthest from the sighting should NEVER be blocked, so that others can pass if they want to
- Don’t linger longer than a few minutes at a sighting, so that others can view it too
- Never go off the designated roads
- Never climb out of your vehicle during a drive, or hang out of your car windows or sunroof
- Don’t hoot or blare loud music
- Avoid driving into vegetation, as this could damage the environment or kill small animals
- During night drives, never shine a spotlight directly in animals’ eyes
- Never make noise to get animals to move, stand up or otherwise react for pictures
- Respect the rangers, and always comply with their requests or instructions

It’s so upsetting to see tourists getting in the road of these cubs, and trying to keep up with mum, I know tourists help the park but they just don’t care as long as they get the perfect shot!

Amazing, but frightful, sighting. We can hear the hyena vocalizations in the distance. The cubs learning there's a time for play and a time to run. These four remaining cubs are precious. I know the lionesses will do their best.

For me this is a very disturbing video. If any cubs were lost i am going to loose it over the disreguard of these idiotic heartless tourists. Im very concerned for the poor little cub that was scared confused by the idiot tourists and left behind.

Also, the tourists have to stop worrying about getting the best pictures. If the lions run, stay parked. Someone is going to run over a cub for trying to get a Facebook worthy picture.

I'm normally pro-tourism but I am not pro-idiot drivers. The white car that parked perpendicular and the one on the right that almost ran a cub over should be fined and blocked from going into Kruger again.
They were in more of a danger with the cars than the Hyenas..

Looked like some pretty healthy mature females, that must of been a very big pack of hyenas! not sure Hyenas would risk that fight, not knowing we're the Males might be! Anyway this goes to show me how important a strong coalition is for the survival of there bloodline!
I'm tired of people coming onto video to complain about cars. Tourists will always be there, you have to accept it, it is also a benefit to be able to see the lions. It is true that some tourists are very idiotic, but there are people like that all over the world and there will always be no matter how many 100 comments there are complaining about it. Please let's talk about the lions, this is a video captured to enjoy them, not to talk about a tourist.

It seems the males are never around the females and cubs. Is that normal, I thought the males would be there for protection and food of course :)
The males spend a lot of time patrolling their territory to keep other male lions out so they are not always with the pride.
