- Today I finally got my new exhaust installed on my challenger. this is a before and after video. sound quality is not the greatest (maybe should have moved the phone back a little) but i assure you it sounds great in person. I want to shoutout J&J exhaust shop out here in hillsboro oregon. they did an amazing job installing this. if you wanna check them out i highly recommend them , here is a link to their website

After months of searching, I think I’ve found the exhaust setup I want.
Nice, I just got a 2023 Challenger SXT and didn't like the stock exhaust so I checked around and decided on the Magnaflow Race Series Axle-Back Exhaust System with Polished Tips. I am very satisfied with the sound, especially when I stomp on it. I also added a Dodge Performance Chip and I can really feel the difference in power. Thanks for your video.

Sounds mean as F…. Lol… I just bought Flowmaster super 10’s for my 2019 SXT. Having them put on Monday. My wife isn’t thrilled, but I’m praying it sounds great!
Flowmasters sound great on these engines, I'm sure it will sound awesome.

Sounds really good. I’ve been looking into the borla atak but this sounds better imo. How’s the drone inside the cabin? Do you get any pops or crackles? Sounds like it gets a few pops.
Thanks, I was in the exact same boat as you when I bought this. I was torn between this and the Borla Atak. i listened to a bunch of videos of both and liked the tone of this one better. it was also cheaper than the Borla so that was just the icing on the cake. drone is pretty much non existent and if you do get drone the J pipe is adjustable to remove any drone you might hear. as far as pops and crackles , you get a little on cold starts. I think there is a little when driving at certain rpm's but they are not heard much unless you are in a place where you can get an echo ( like in a tunnel they are more pronounced ) i have been thinking of taking a video of the sound in my garage to see if I can catch it more.
@@Countryboycrimson thanks for the reply. That sounds great. With the borla you get no pops at all. And I ask regarding that specifically because I just removed my resonators and when in sport mode, both first and second, around 5krpms I get pops. That would be awesome if you took that video. And yes it is cheaper than the borla and I really think the sound is more aggressive. Congrats man! Thank you for the video because now I know what to get.
@@jmkos86 thanks again, when she comes out of hibernation for the winter i will likely try to get another video of pops and stuff. also i'de like to get a video of some fly by's. unfortunately in this video the stupid way i was reving the engine sounds kinda garbage. it sounds better in person for sure.

@@jmkos86that’s a lie. I have Borla Atak and it pops and crackle all the time. After a while you learn how to make it do it on demand

did you have cold air intake, if so which one? sounds really great by the way
thank you for watching and thanks for the comment, I do not have a cold air intake but i am planning for that to be my next upgrade, haven't made a decision on which one yet. now that i have put a few thousand miles on the exhaust and got it broken in, it sounds a lot better and I seem to be getting a lot more pops and crackles while driving. I imagine a CAI could only help the sound more

Question, could I still put on a aftermarket muffler if I brought this?
hmm. honestly I'm not sure, I would assume but this is a full catback system with aftermarket mufflers/jpipe already. if you are wanting to put an aftermarket muffler it would be a lot cheaper to just have the aftermarket muffler put in place of the stock mufflers. the only reason i could see puting a different aftermarket muffler in place of the ones that come with it is if you decided you didn't like the sound, but that's a buttload of $$$ that could be saved. maybe, i'm not understanding your intention either.
How much was total cost. For exhaust and install
Was about $1200 total. You can probably get cheaper than that installed by shopping around a bit. Also, if you have a friend with a lift you can probably install yourself, it hangs with stock hangers.

Sounds nice but I'm keeping my Challenger GT's stock exhaust. There really isn't much performance increase adding an aftermarket exhaust, maybe 5-7hp. If it were a hemi I probably woukdn't change the exhaust because the 2018-2923 Challengers and Chargers come with the actuve exhaust from the factory.
Totally understandable, it's a lot of money for really 0 performance gain. I just did it for the sound. Thankfully I live in the country and have no neighbors, so startup in the morning doesn't disturb anyone. And yea , if it had been a hemi I would have just left stock.
