- The Lion King is a video game based on Disney's popular animated film. The title was published by Virgin Interactive in 1994, and was released on SNES, NES, Game Boy, PC, Sega Mega Drive/Genesis, Amiga, Master System and Game Gear. The NES and Master System versions of the game were never released in North America. The game follows Simba's journey from a young carefree cub to the battle with his uncle Scar as an adult.

Between this level and the flying carpet escape level in Aladdin I learned that Disney did not screw around with Sega games.

Check out the maze level (the Toy Alien Spaceship level) in Toy Story, too; it's also in Genesis levels of 3D. Last I checked, the level's not in the Super NES version, even as much as I appreciate the music being clearer in that version.
Such badass animation, gorgeous 16 bit music...but omfg this level caused me so much pain as a child. "Can't Wait to Be King" was even WORSE!!!!
I NEVER made it past this level. A part of me wants to play it again, but I don't think anyone would appreciate a bunch of swear words so early in the morning.
@Koopa Network we were all those kids who didn't FULLY get how a game worked. You were that kid who probably beat the the game with E's because you actually knew to pay attention 🤣

Blast from the past for me. I played this when it 1st came out. I Had to visit this to show my daughter that the music for this level was different than the one she's playing currently

For some reason I remember the graphics being much better. I hadn't played the game since I was 8 or 9. Still, I had great memories and fun playing this.

I always stayed on the left side of the screen and was safe the whole time lol. Just jumped over a few of the ones that were coming right behind me.

I remember the satisfaction of beating this level. This was definitely a hard game. I think I got close to the end but never quite beat it
I think no one ever beats this game it's was to much strategy etc especially when he's grown and you make it to the lava stage, got stuck there for weeks & gave up
@@kinggod3115 same with Aladdin and fighting Jafar lol both final stages were hard af as a kid lol good times. I'll prob be playing this on my death bed. To let life come back full circle before I pass 🤷🏽♂️ it'll always have replayability use.
I remember these games when I was younger. I'm still pretty young but this games a classic. Played it on a super Nintendo, now playing it on Xbox. Graphics are still the same and the game is just as hard but it's one of the better games. I may be 20 but this game and Aladdin was one of my favorites even tho it made me wanna rip all my hair out constantly 😂

I got this game when I was about 3, I did make here a couple times when I was 4 but it wasn't until I was about 10 that I made it past this to Simba's exile. Never farther tho. My brother and I eventually made it to the waterfall but seriously, everything after the stampede is just hell.

Fuck this fucking part! Seriously. There's like a specific pattern you have to do to get past it. Whenever I decide to play this game, this is my most irritating level on it. I have trouble with it about 3/4ths the way into it.
Mrs. Yellow_Ledbetter I always jump to the beat of the music starting at 0:35, that's how I get past it.

That question mark mechanic, can you just imagine being naive to the level and seeing that heading your way.. The amount of panic you'd have, that'd be quickly ended by the game over screen..

really, the musics the snes are very bad.
This game is harder than Contra. Some levels are just insanely hard, unnecessary hard. It's like playing Dark Souls the only difference is Dark Souls is FAIR and this game IS NOT. Everything wants to fuck you from every direction and you have no chance to see it coming also controls are really clunky, not suiteable for challenges game gives you later in the run. Fuck this game.
