I'm definitely from those 10% of our subscribers! Thanks for sharing this technic 💪 The retrieve reminds me of the squid fishing on egi. Would love to see about the spoons!

love to see how to properly use spoons. No success so far for strippers yet.

Found your channel a year ago and what I enjoy is the silence and reading the captions. It was a unique experience for me......

I use a similar jigging technique with zoom flukes. They go crazy for chartreuse and white.

Nice video bro! It’s refreshing seeing new techniques instead of the same old stuff. It’s been tough out here. I’ll give em a try !

I bought these baits a while back but haven’t really used them much. You’ve definitely sparked to fire to try them out again. Love the content and super happy to see you using new innovative lures! I have tried the hookup baits which have a similar action with some pretty good luck.
Do you have any tips or suggestions for fishing murky conditions in the bay for stripers?

I have the BR heads for over a year now and never bothered to get the plastics cause they were low in stock back then. Definitely gonna give them a try.

I grew up in the east bay and fish this area all the time throwing jigs it’s not really pressured there but I find bass hit quick on finesse presentations

The fins on the jig head and flat side of the plastic allows it to glide side to side.... when jerking the rod. Imagine walking the dog action while sinking..... but the action is under water, of course.

Great video! I have been fishing dart/glide heads on this side of the bay for the past few months, but smaller ones meant for Mebaru/bluefish.
I believe they call it bottom-winding/light-winding. I was looking at the BR fish, I may need to pick some up over black friday.
Weather is rough this week, but are you still catching striper? I'm not sure when the bite slows, down. I've been fishing ultralight just to catch anything that's biting over in emeryville, but i may need to find some new spots as that area has cooled off a lot with the weather/winter.

Is this a recent video? Do you drop the swim bait to the bottom? If so do you snag much? What's the best months to fish for stripers in the SF BAY?

How well do these work in shallow water and do they stay on the jighead well or are they ruined easily

Does this work for freshwater striper? I tried this in Rio Vista and New Hogan Lake. At NHL I can see the striper come up to my lure on my livescope but they don’t bite.

How heavy is the jig and how long is that bait. Thanks for sharing.

How is this method different from a swim bait?

    • @otroflores91
      @otroflores91 2 місяці тому +1

You are actually working the rod to jerk the bait vs just reeling a swimbait.

    • @mattv4140

The bait darts side to side rather than swimming in a straight line back 2 the bank. It gets strippers attention faster esp during a lower tide
