If it were me , and I was going to pay over 20 grand for a used tractor, I would want to hear it running. I'm not taking the owners word for it. Get the keys and start them up. No excuses ! You want my money, get them going. Dam it !
@@FarmallFanatic There are no keys on most pre-1950's tractors. Neither my IH Farmall A, H or M has a key, only a start switch. Only the M was running when I bought it. If you know how to properly inspect any machine, you can get a pretty solid understanding of its condition.
You can inspect it all you want, but you cant see a hard start on a tractor they don't start, or a knock in the engine, or a turbo that rattles when it shuts down. I agree with the gentleman who said start'um up.
Not running them cuts sales prices in half ... which on many there they sold at least 50% less than otherwise have been selling. Look at how popular youtube videos are for "hasn't been started in twenty years" click bait. People like to see 'em run.
I still can't imagine paying 20 - 30 grand and not see them running. Half price or not. That's a lot of money to gamble with. Get it back to the farm and there's a knock in the engine. Oh, hell no !
Always enjoy the Auction videos 👌 if that big Massey had the Perkins engine in it that i think it did they used to eat head gaskets before breakfast 🙄😕 that 7250 was a beast 💪💪 Red Power 💪💪💥

Awesome video buddy, I can’t believe that 7250 sold that cheap somebody got a deal for sure. For the most part everything except for a couple of the newer green ones sold cheap
It didn’t sell. Just like like a lot of other ones. That auction is a waste of time. Same 4010 been thru there 3 times and owner has it listed today again
I wish that MD sold in Illinois I would have bid on it. Just bought a M on a sale 600.00 supposedly drove it in got it started after jumping around the coil
If i was selling at that auction I would have been sick. The 706 min $8000 4010 $8500, 1086 with a good cab $12500. You can really see the effects of the economy, even with beef and milk prices, better buy that used equipment, it's going cheap.
Never really a fan of Case Ih stuff but that 7250 is a beauty! The diary farm next door to me always had those when i was a kid, they hold a special place for me, any of the Magnumn tractors really.
we had 5 leylands at 1 time i WISH they still made them. there wasnt a deere or international could beat them in fuel economy and i didnt have to split the tractor to get the clutch out
$7K for a rough looking 2290, and $10k for the 4850 that looked pretty decent???? Hmmmm...... 6030 sold good. Good old pullers. That 4010 was cheap. Even had the good injection pump on it.
If a guy had some money laying around there was plenty of money to be made at this one. I am not sure I have ever seen a 4850 MFD ever sell for 10k, at least not in that good of condition. Was the rear end out of it? A 7250 for 24k, I hope someone is sleeping well at night lol
Stealing the keys? Wonder how much more you could have got with a guy and a booster pack starting them ahead of the auction? Still you can assume 90% drove off the trailer. Just depends how my smoke or racket it makes.
@@dongilles8417 the gleaner with 3 heads went $1500 and the other with the 4 row head $600. I was following online in between chopping and wasn't watching at the right time. 🤬🤬

This one didn't look too bad at all
Thanks for showing the auction 👍
Thanks for watching
I was very surprised at alot of these prices, good stuff!
Not sure if the bubble is popping or just that it's Fall
It's election year. Things are always kind of goofy because people tend to hold onto their money not knowing what's coming the next four years.
That 135 Massey Ferguson looks nice.

😅 I guess for today's standards

You said a mouthful there
The market has been slipping but I think the market was a little crazy before good video!
I'm not sure what to make up it yet... I'll know more by late spring
Great video was nice talking to you at the auction
Ty and likewise 👍
Good prices at the auction!! I think market is slow do to crop prices ??

Made a great Saturday 👍

Oh it's sold cheap too
Good prices on the cycle bar tractor, but the 706 was a great deal for someone. 10 foot disc was a little light.
75 hp for 3k
@@FarmallFanatic yep
The Leyland 154 is a utility tractor produced from 1970 to 1984, featuring a 28 hp engine and a claimed PTO of 24 hp.
I wonder how accessible parts are
In the 70's dad was serious about it since it was sold by a Ford dealer. I bet you can still cross reference the oil filters.
In 1980 I brought a 4010 with 4200 hours cab nice big one nice shape for 4650
That was a lot of money then

A couple of times they bought the tires and got the tractor free.

That guy in the beginning by the AC had some paws on him

5500 on a 4010 deer diesel what's the world come 12000 on a 4850 amazing what happens when grain prices take a shit sounded like a 80s auction
And it might get even worse
Bench press over 400 lbs? Not bad!!!!
That 706 would of been lucky to bring that in 1980 so I think it was reasonable same with 1086
you don't think prices are still the same as 1980 do you?
It's Saturday, we've got an auction with rain, some really good deals, does it get any better?
Nope 👊
Buyers have to assume that everything is non-running. They tell nothing on each item.
Correct
The 2nd auctioneer was damn good
26 years old too
I understand why there wasn't any AC there !! For those who have one don't part with a good thing.
There indeed was AC there...must have missed it
Well looks like a buyer beware no startups no information just after the almighty dollar start them up and tell something right🇺🇸😀
thanks
They need a Benny with his key ring. 😊
Yes!!
I have 2 of them at home but if the price is right why not have 3 lol. Me too!
That was my theory when I bought #3 lol
Some good deals..

in my part of canada that 7250 would be 70 to 75 thousand
