As a Swede - a Scandinavian - I must say and admit that I'm equally surprised, as honored that so many people from different cultures seem to like the 'traditional' Scandinavian/Northern culture and music of old (stretching from about 1000 years, 'til about the 18-1900...although it of course has undergone changes during all this time. Like the instruments and so forth.). But still, 'til this very day - Scandinavian music is well known to be quite melancholic (minor scales), with both music and lyrics that involves all the 'troubles and tribulations' that most of us face at the very least at some point or another - and therefore at the very least should be quite easy to relate to (at least in one way or another).... Just wanted to say this to you all - and figuratively 'take my hat' off to you all, as I feel honored! (And - for you who feel like being picky: Yes, I am aware of the fact that at least the 'lead character', that is Einar Selvik is from Norway - and the other bandmembers is from everywhere from Denmark, Germany and sometimes other countries as well! But still, I'm talking about the 'culture' they are "working in" here...I mean, even IF there should be a Swede here...HOW on earth could I take credit for HIS work..? Right? Well - just wanted to add that in there [since I've gotten comments like that before], not taking any 'chances'.). Anyway - greetings from Sweden (in the cold, harsh North). ;-)
