Agreed, Tupac was more talented than Dmx. Dmx was also older than Tupac and Dmx was trying to get on in the early 90s but he couldn't. Dmx finally blew up in the late 90s. If Tupac had lived maybe Dmx wouldn't have blown up like the way he did in the late 90s.

Both definately had the same type of energies but Pac seemed to have cut across the world more. You could go anywhere in any country and pac is like an icon over there too due to what pac lived thru, pumped it through his art, charisma etc. Not taking anything from X. Both are legends in their own right regardless.

Tupac is mostly loved for his revolutionary style and adding that to his style and his movie's and his rap lyrics at the time he lived he was great for those attributes,but for me the time I ever saw DMX performance it was at Woodstock and before that I never ever saw any rapper in the form I was totally blown away to see the crowd singing to every song that was the first time I ever saw a rap artist as a rock star and it was just him and his DJ .

On just a rap level he can't really hang until you get past at least the top 25 rappers while DMX is a LEGENDARY battle rapper as well. DMX is authentic to what he rapped about, Pac was loud about what he called about and contradicted himself left and right

You understood every word he was saying, and emotionally felt the meaning behind them. He would say it your face and would do it alone… whether friend or foe! Don’t get me wrong, Pac will always be one of the greatest but he was always around and was supported by heavy weights rappers… and was in the shadow of Suge knight. Love DMX. But, I’d go pretty much in the opposite direction. For me, I felt DMX’s anger, but not much else. His other emotions always came across as though he were acting them out for us. Like he’d make a great colosseum preacher. I could feel all of Tupac’s emotions, not just the anger. And, they always felt fully genuine and raw like you were in a normal, unrehearsed, honest conversation with the man.
Absolutely 💯 spot on.. Pac studied poetry , shakespeare , black revolutionary literature go read the black panthers black child's pledge that was the type of stuff that was instilled in him as a youngin.. he got to experience more than just the hood and poverty which gave him so much more to talk about that's evident in his acting as well.. he could play a disturbed psycho in juice , a mailman single father in poetic justice , a drug dealer in above the rim , a junkie in gridlock'd and a crooked cop in gang related.. like katt williams said "you have to have RANGE" love X but istg he played the same character in every movie 😂

Dmx was good and great but only fill one aspect of 2pac, which is the charisma. 2pac, was an embodiment of so many things that noone else could or can still match.
