That was very very impressive and original.very cool and very well done.I cant imagine all the work that went into doing that.People like you are what makes halloween night so awesome!!!
I love that your display is just-right scary -- very tasteful, and ok to show my children. We are more than impressed by your creativity, both musically and theatrically and enjoyed seeing how your display has evolved through the years. Bravo! From your newest fans in Boise - can't wait to see 2007.
Thanks! It is not as tricky as it looks. The song is mine, new one coming this year actualy. Glad you liked it! If you want to know more about how it works, send me a private message with your email...
That was all rather impressive. The Ghosts were spectacular. I shall probably (with all respect) try something like that sometime for my house. I am a rather twisted individual so i will use my ghosts at basically any time of the year...
Enough people have asked, I figure I ought to say that this is just 1 projector from across the street, and some heavily processed video from Adobe Premiere Pro. Have a great Halloween everyone!
Wow! I can see why you won the national award. You are very talented and I can tell you have worked in video production (and if not you should). What's your favorite tool... Mac? or PC? (it's got to be a Mac). Everything looks awesome and the pumpkins are a wonderful touch. I'd like to guess what program you used for your project, but I don't want to post my answer here.
Thanks for posting this. In my home haunt this year I wanted to capture a similar effect in a library scene...with the same effect...at least now I know what I'd be up against... How'd you do the talking pumpkin effect? The same way Diseny does for the haunted mansion? I love this effect btw!
The point behind the flashing effects is that they look just like the non-projected lighting I use behind the real skeleton the rest of the month (when the projection is not running). More designed for the locals who probably don't even notice the fact that the skeleton comes alive Halloween night. Maybe I should change the background to something cooler.... Probably not this year ;-)
Pt 2 Dave, did you sing all vocal parts too? If you do release your songs I highly recommend you rerecord "On Halloween Night." The BOO at the end of the recording sounds like the audio is clipping as if you overdrove the inputs to your mixer. If Disney wants to use your material and wants to put music behind your song please ask them to make one version the song in a cappella.
The red sort-sort of lasers remind me of like the scene in Poltrieguiest where the girl gets sucked into the closet...like that crazy lighting and stuff...
Pt 1 Dear Dave, I highly recommend you have your songs published. The lyrics are great as well as the spooky melody. You could sell your songs for a $1 on iTunes and easily make a million (just look at how many people have viewed this one video). I wouldn't be surprised if someone from Disney/Pixar contacts you. Disney hasn't come out with a spooky cartoon in decades.
My home theater surround sound system, but that is not what you are hearing on the video. I wish it was that good, but my neighbors probably wouldn't appreciate it... ;-)
my friend and i had a haunt in his garage with his dads help 7 other scare actors 2 fogs machines we had a good turn out but somepeople were to afraid to come in
Assuming you live in Iceland you can start it! ;-) I've heard from people in Germany and Australia who are really making it happen in their countries. I'll send you a free resource DVD if you like so you can kick it off in style. :-)
The red sort-of laser flash effects seem off-theme to me, but I love the cyclopean eye, and the singing pumpkins easily rival the ones at Disney's Haunted Mansion Holiday. The ghost effects are a nice touch too. Glad you have a cooperative neighbor across the street. :-)

We are haunters, and this is absolutely amazing.
That was freakin awesome. I loved it. Just makes me love Halloween even more.
I did the lightning effect on my house this year I'll be putting up a video here pretty quick, yours however is incredible, a million props to you.
Now that's one kick butt haunted house! Looks like a lot of work and money went into it!

A+++++++++++++++++++!!!!!!!!!!!! OH MY GOD!!!!!
Over head projectors? Normal video projector. Just to make sure nobody thinks I'm insane!
Around 300 I think
They are just my eyes and teeth (well video of them anyway...)
Damn this is old
Nice
Sounds interesting -- let's have some video. :-)
Crummy Sharp Notevision. 1200 lumen LCD. Amazing what you can do with event the wimpiest projectors.
@joshkm suprisingly very cheap $800 projector
you sorta can ;-)
These I made, but they are ugly ;-). In 2006 I found some perfect inflatables.
