Underappreciated? Bro these games propose absolutely no challenge and they pale in comparison to other platforming games. The music and art are dope, but damn the story is mediocre at best (judging from older Klonoa games ofc) and the game just plays itself.

@@andymcclurg9916 More challenging and very fluent gameplay, once you get used to the gameplay and controls you can move so quickly, it's quite a rush. Also there are some nice puzzles here and there.

I was lucky and paid just $50 for my PS1 copy about a decade ago. I got Klonoa 2 for just $5 a year before that. Klonoa 1 is also still on the North American PS3/Vita store, just $6. But even though I don't yet own a Switch, I'm buying this day one to support the little guy.

@@Kim-py3iv Nice! Mine was at GameStop back in 2010. I actually skipped P.E. in college to get it by walking down there from the college (the class was just walking, so when I explained to the coach what I'd done, I still got credit for the day) I also got F Zero GX for GameCube that day too.
As soon as I saw the butterfly from the intro my heart stopped. I can't believe the Klonoa series is getting a second chance in the form of a two game remaster! It's a dream come true for a Klonoa fan!

I really, really hope this game does well so Klonoa can get a new mainline game. Everyone, please support this! It's a really charming, fun platformer! If you enjoy Kirby, I am almost certain you'll enjoy Klonoa. Plus it's two games for the price of one!

It's about time Nintendo caught onto this game. Klonoa is such a wonderful series!
What do you mean about time? The original game was remade for Wii, and that's what's in this collection.
The original game was remade on the switch and one on the gba

The Klonoa series is so underrated. The 2.5D gameplay, the characters, the dream setting with a dark twist within them! I’m so glad they are getting a remake because the prices for these games don’t come cheap nowadays!
For 2 it is so expensive. 1 is on PSN for $4 though

I'd never heard about it until this direct. I played a bit of the first game on my Vita last night and fell in love with it and will be buying it day 1 on Switch!
and i'm sad were going back in time by these remakes retaining too much of the original game making it essentialy stuck in the past. I mean the New super mario brothers series is a perfect example of why this gsme will be LAMBASTED by critics for being too mechanically similar to the originals of which this game is supposed to be a remake of,

I am genuinely surprised that there's several games releasing in 2022 that I'm legitimately interested in, which is something I couldn't say about 2021. It really is great to see all these colorful platforming characters make a comeback over the last few years.

Not gonna lie. This was the most exciting thing I saw from that Direct showcase.
Good to see Klonoa getting some deserved love many years after the DtP remake. Do not let the cutsy aesthetics trick you, Klonoa 1 and 2 are among some of the best platformers out there.

I don't think this means new game yet, but this can show interest and help people get into the series since klonoa isn't the most accessible game to play nowadays like I always wanted to play the second game but I didn't want to spend 300 dollars. I KNOW I CAN EMULATE
This is insane. Klonoa 2 was the first game I ever played, amazing story, unreal soundtrack, simple but really fun gameplay. This is like a dream come true I thought Klonoa was forgotten this is insane😭😭 I have to keep reminding myself that this is real. Just unbelievable

This game looks very cute for the good vision. Hopefully, the franchise will rise to next episodes that it deserve more attention after the commercial failure in the past and the fandom will loves more to easily play.
They made these games look so good, I was just expecting a simple HD remaster. They even made Klonoa 1's model look better than the original remake.
I am so happy. The looks of the wii version were just too dull and it didn't have a lot of the charm as the ps1 version. This new one has 3d AND charm.
@@PredictableEnigma Yeah, the wii version always looked pretty dull in comparison, but I always loved how Klonoa looked in 3D, like with Klonoa 2. Now it found the sweet spot.

One of the best platformers and a mascot that was overshadowed with all the platformer giants of the 90s. Glad to see it come back. I personally enjoyed these games over most platformers of that time and now.

I got Klonoa 1 on release day. bought Klonoa 2 when it first came out with my PS2, I love this series to death. Wish the GBA games were there though
Klonoa 2 is one of my favorite games of all time, so I was happy to see both games were included instead being just a port of the Wii remake. I'm also glad to see that Door to Phantomile and Lunatea's Veil both kept their respective designs for Klonoa.

Joining the choir of voices saying they're good. Of course my childhood memories are speaking a little when I say this, but still! They're plateformers with very good level design and clever ideas, strong ambients in their levels (especially Klonoa 2, which has a lot of extremely memorable levels!!), cute yet surprisingly dark little stories, charming if slightly tropey characters, some awesome boss battles, and very good OSTs (once again, Klonoa 2's is particularly stellar on this side). Hope you'll like this Phantasy Reverie~
Today was very dreamy. When I first saw this reveal, I almost thought I was in a dream, which is very fitting for Klonoa. I absolutely recommend getting this!

Thank the lord. This was such a gift to me. I'm getting this day one. I'm so happy that I could cry. If you have never played these games, you have to try them. 1 and 2 are absolute bangers (especially 2) and these remakes look vibrant and amazing.

@@eddycolindres3227 the wii game is a remake. Also this collection for Klonoa1 uses the original voice files so I am hoping we get the original ending cinematic but upscaled to now match his original design for 1st game... the wii ending animation was rather lackluster .. fingers crossed
