I felt their interpretation was too methodical. The dynamic changes didn't sound raw nor did they sound organic. I so enjoyed the tone of the entire piece however! Well done!
And yet Philip Glass commissioned them. They sound better here than in the official recording, however. Also, compare this to Kronos, the only other quartet I've heard that plays it as well. You can listen to both on Spotify.
This just kills. These guys really know how to play without vibrato, how to float it. Love it.
Best interpretation I've found so far. The tempo, dynamics, rubato, it's all amazing. What a great performance!
Genuinely would've cried through the whole thing
I love this piece so much. I had the pleasure of hearing Kronos play it in SF in the 80s & have not heard it played so beautifully since. Bravo!
Wow. Just wow.
Fascinante
ROCK ON!!! ..
I mean.. my gosh, that was just exquisite
Gorgeous performance.
They are really, really good!
Magnifique
belissimo ! --------- - - BRAVO ! ! !
Bravi! 🙏❤
Un chef-d’œuvre qui survivra au XXe siècle dont il restitue le caractère profondément tragique.
Thanks for posting this very thoughtful interpretation. The quartet version is more meditative than the string orchestra version...
plagiando o Christopher Brooks , os caras arrasam e rasgam o meu coração ---- eles vão fundo ..
Wow the music was fantastic. But I must say, these 4 don't look like any Wellesley College students I've ever seen.
They are a visiting musical group performing at Wellesley College.
At the end even the truck is saying: "Back the fuck up, that was a hell of a performance"
저 세상 음악이다. 묘하게 빨려드네.
... I love this... but I wonder, is this music or textile? No seriously.
It's clearly music. You're not uncovering anything profound seeking otherwise.
you can hear a cough at a 1:20 😂
Interesting interpretation, albeit not very 'minimal'. Too bad the video and sound are not properly synchronized.

waeruo I liked it too!
waeruo dafuq does that even mean.

So much... noise.
