Why do these news reporters STILL report stories like this with a giggle??
Their little interaction at the end was so inauthentic
If it isn't a joke, I'd say it was an anxiety manifestation.
For me, when I'm uncomfortable, I'll laugh to myself, but it's not haha. From the outside, I'll look like I'm skeptical or wincing at something. No, neither of those.
because to distance yourself from the 'consensus reality' often mean ostracization from the in-group.
They are like children.
Why so bitter.
If your looking for intelligent life, these reporters are not what your looking for.

Billions of planets and galaxies and people really think we are the only ones 😂😂😂
trillions, and it may only be a very small percentage of what the universe actually is in size. that’s in the observable universe we think there is up to 2 trillion galaxies each with hundreds of billions of stars.
Maybe we are the tribes to them.
Then again, it's looking back in time. Perspective is subjective. One could leave the solar system and find it's actually empty. Like the ant and the flat earth. It'll never see that it's round. So to it, flat is all it needs to be.
Not saying the earth is flat, but... Imagine a sphere with infinite surface area. Is it flat or round or both? @@WildcatFisherman63
It is one thing to believe, as I do, that it is likely that there are numerous intelligent civilizations elsewhere in the universe. It is quite another thing to believe that one or more of them has found us and come to visit.
It's mind-blowingly ignorant but then again it's just human.
It’s funny how the news casters talk to the audience as if we were children.
Because most people can't handle the truth. It all leading to we found aliens, aliens are bad and we need to raise taxes to keep you safe. Trust me we would never lie. Maybe even put this computer chips in your arms so we can keep track of you. You know in case you get lost and need help

Point the James Webb Telescope at it.
They won't do that because it's all bull
I get the feeling we’ve, or should I say they, already have and we know WAY MORE than they are telling us.
Otherwise, WTH do we have it for?

yeah ths dyson sphere shit is nonsense. There is a lot of evidence they are interdimensional. even Representative Luna from congress said they were interdimensional and NO ONE else from congress has mentioned anything about what she said. they are covering it up.
Go rub your crystals.
Yet people are so blind they rather believe science than the truth.... They are not aliens..... And they look just like humans......kings... Presidents.....powerful businessmen....
I feel you on that one bro
They reported this last week....Catch up....and the giggles need to stop
Exactly. Why cover the story if they don’t take it seriously
Lol lol lol lol lol 😛
One doesn't have to be very intelligent to read the news in front of a camera.
People have the right to believe what they want to believe, if they wanna giggle, let them damn giggle. Until I am standing in front of a alien speaking to it, I will giggle as much as I want, YA GOT THAT? good

Dyson spheres only humans can imagine. If there are any aliens, they would use completely different technologies than our understanding
Who’s getting tired of this type of pandering and tossing back and forth nonsensical garbage questions that don’t answer anything? People if you want more demand more….I gotta give this a thumbs down.
Actually, except for the lack of any understanding of the theories they were discussing, and of how a Dyson Sphere (or much more likely Dyson Swarm) would have to work on behalf of both the anchor and his... guest? The article was pretty accurate. The possibility of Dyson Swarms is certainly a real one - we ourselves will create such a megastructure within a few hundred years if we survive our own war like tendencies. It is resource intensive to accomplish, but doable with only moderately more advanced technology than we now have. We would simply use the asteroid belt and possibly other rocky planets for the raw materials. All civilizations are limited and controlled by the amount of energy they can consume. A Dyson Swarm is a logical step along the path from Type I to Type II on the Kardashev scale. We are presently at approximately Type .75, so Type I is on the horizon. Cheers.

But have the aliens developed Dyson hair dryers yet? THAT is the question.
Actually those exist now. My hairdresser uses one. 🤣@@keirfarnum6811
My friend, I believe that you may have interpreted this incorrectly. This video is referring to a theoretical energy harnessing megastructure brought forth by a science fiction author several decades ago. You are mistakenly interjecting the design of a household vacuum cleaner into a discussion that is completely unrelated. Plus, I would like to add that your mother is a megastructure in her own right. Namaste
@@danielcollins5521somebody should take the time to explain the concept of irony to you pronto. Namaste.
I'll pay attention once it's confirmed
Humans: We are in a new Era!
Aliens: Calm down Sparky, we aint sharing with you..
They should really name it "The Stapledon Sphere " after the person who Freeman Dyson got the idea from..
Or better yet we should figure out what's actually happening before giving it some ridiculous name that implies we know something about it
This is so late. Scientists have already poured over this, and we're still guessing its gas clouds or image clarity problems long before any megastructures.
Yeah, that's my first question: "yeah, but what else could it be?" Because the likelihood that it's one Dyson sphere, much less multiples of them all in a cluster is wildly improbable. I think the scientific community is just trying to keep the general public interested.
@AlphaMachina them being in clusters makes it that much more probable.. what do you mean wildly improbable? if i find 7 crumbs in my sons bedroom its much more likely that he was involved. Now if they are spread around the house or even outside of the house, its much less probable. Thats probably a shit analogy but do you see what im saying? why would a super advanced civilization find 7 whole different areas to put dyson spheres in rather than somewhere closer to home and in bunches
@@Spacemaaan They are debunkers.
@@Spacemaaan The question isn't whether it's more probable than if they weren't clustered, but whether it's more probable than literally any other more likely explanation. What you're experiencing is an effect known as observer bias, wherein you see what you want to see and nothing else. I would love to see some Dyson spheres out there, I read about them in Aeon 14, but let's not pretend that the likelihood is anything substantial, because it simply isn't.
And this isn't just because I don't think there's advanced civilizations out there. I just think that advanced civilizations wouldn't have the massive power needs requiring something like a Dyson sphere in the first place. They'd likely have far more efficient ways of harnessing power.
Dyson spheres were thought up during a time when energy requirements in the western world were ever expanding, and it was natural to think that advanced civilizations would have massive energy requirements.
But even now, our own global energy usage has largely slowed in recent years, and as we work toward the future, it's all about efficiency, miniaturization and nanotechnologies. Dyson spheres aren't practical in the least, even, or especially, for an advanced civilization. Much less entire clusters of them.
"A quick calculation reveals that, if we wanted to collect 10% of the Sun’s energy at the distance the Earth is from the Sun, we’d need a surface area equal to 1 billion Earths. And if we had a super-advanced technology that could make the megastructure only 10km thick, that’d mean we’d need about a million Earths worth of material to build them from.
A significant problem is that our Solar System only contains about 100 Earths worth of solid material, so our advanced alien civilisation would need to dismantle all the planets in 10,000 planetary systems and transport it to the star to build their Dyson sphere. To do it with the material available in a single system, each part of the megastructure could only be one metre thick."
In other words, you're spending millennia and many millions of times more energy building the structure than you'd likely get back out of it in any reasonable timeframe. It's just a silly idea. Just because a human scientist had this idea back in the 1960s doesn't mean suddenly the universe is full of these things. To believe in advanced alien life doesn't mean we have to be unrealistic.
@AlphaMachina Idk what observer bias you are speaking of. I never said that's what it was, I was just pointing out a flaw on your perspective as if the Dyson spheres in question were actually there
If we are not careful we will discover that we are as primitive as ANIMALS compared to what is!
The consensus is that if primates share 98% of their DNA with humans, that means we only have a 2% leg up on them in terms of evolutionary advancement, meaning, a species just 1-2% more advanced than us would be unimaginably more advanced, to the point that we wouldn't even be able to fathom how their technology functions. Us looking at them might be no different than the way chimps look at humans (essentially, a toddler trying to grasp the intricacies of grown-up society and technology).
We don't need to be careful to discover this. Of course ET is already here, and they have been for quite some time. Though a Dyson Sphere is an extremely wasteful form of energy collection. ET is actually using Zero-Point Energy to power their civilizations.
We don’t have to discover anything. There are UAP’s sighted daily around the worse. We are so un-intelligent compared to what exists even on our own planet.
What's wrong with that? No reason to be careful.
Careful or not that is the reality
I don’t get it either they have reporters and associates who are covering UAP and NHI like Ross Coulthart yet we have stories like this being covered by other reporters who don’t have a clue or still live in the 50’s, are they not one cohesive team?
Believe me if you are advanced enough to build such a massive structure you don't need to build a "Dyson" sphere for energy.
Step by step tech advances.
To be frank, I'd say it's natural progression.
If a civilization was at our level, but somehow our world conflicts and capitalism didn't play a role, we could put a ring of solar panels in geosynchronous Earth orbit and beaming the energy back to the planet.
We'd mine asteroids and do all 3D printing of structures in space and have it automated with minimal maintenance. Maybe over the course of a few centuries, different nations benefit as the ring is built until the whole planet has it.
In a way, I wonder if SpaceX could modify future Starlink networks beam excess solar energy down to receiver stations...
We effectively have a communication Dyson up there now.
It's a type two civilization and they would also have a ginormous wind mill to collect all of the wind on the planet to harness the energy for their cities.
Dyson spheres are impossible as there is not enough material in the solar system to build one using 100% of the mater in the system
Matter* and it’s possible to build a Dyson swarm, not a complete sphere. A series of rings would be possible and that’s what they’re suggesting. Furthermore you have no idea what composition of any solar system is beyond our own. Hell our own solar system has a MASSIVE AMOUNT of resources reaching as far as our Oort cloud. Most of the matter in our solar system is pretty far away.
The only documented 'mega-structure' in this video are those eyelashes.

In all reality, Dyson spheres seem like a waste of resources. It's nice fiction but I think it's easy to ignore the absurd size and heat of a star when you haven't floated in front of one.

As a species, we are still children. Our technology is surpassing our wisdom and spirituality. There needs to be a balance of these aspects.
We got Dyson spheres before gta 6
John Michael Godier interviewed one of the paper’s authors. It’s a good listen over on “Event Horizon.”
The idea of a Dyson sphere is that a giant sphere _surrounds_ and _contains_ an entire star and/or a star AND its planetary system with it. In either case, we wouldn't be able to detect _anything_ from said structure since the structure seen from outside would not emit anything. No light, no heat, no radiation. Everything is _inside_ a Dyson sphere, not outside. A Dyson sphere would not orbit a star.
A "Megastructure" ok, maybe. The term is open for other types of structures of course. But specifically a Dyson sphere wouldn't be detectable unless you happen to be close enough to _see_ it with some source of light to even see the outside surface of it. We would need to project light _at it_ to detect it.
Just casually saying this and most people don't even bother listening 😂
I rather orbit around Markie Martin. Her smile lights up the solar system. Period.

Fact??? You don’t have any facts.
Let’s move forward as a society. Let’s start by saying, “We know weren’t not the only beings that exist.” So look at this mega structure and so on.
So let’s move forward and not loom in the past.
I have a Dyson sphere and the battery is garbage. I wouldn’t worry.
It could be alien, but not something we'd understand
The world before this : 🌍
The world after this : 🌍
I don't understand how a Dyson Sphere could work mechanically. At the equator it makes sense if it is spinning, because the centripetal force of the spin could counteract gravity. However, at the poles there is no centripetal force to help hold up the surface. The surface near the poles would be so huge it's hard to imagine a material which could hold up its own weight over such an extended area. A ring design makes more sense mechanically than a sphere.
If they have Dyson spheres they are way to advanced for us to be safe with if we can see them they likely already saw us
not only they saw us first, they made us...
Maybe didn't like what they saw?
Or they are treating us like we do with the North Sentinelese. They may have a govt system that prevents their species to communicate with us to let the natural processes take place and not to spread disease on our planet or vise versa. If they made it to that level of advancement you’d think they are a compassionate species and can reason without conflict.
If AI is doing the CC translation.....we're screwed.
Another thing - small maybe but - the mass of material needed to create such a structure would disturb existing orbital paths of all bodies in the system. On an ongoing basis as it is added, constant changes to orbital mechanics would be occuring and constant adjustments needed. Just not practical in any way.
You wanna now what the government wouldn’t do, show that we have distant alien life..
If there's Dyson spheres we can detect then there advanced enough for them to contact us
That would be like humans talking to ants, do you want to talk to ants?
@@mikeboydus if Ants could talk we all would want to talk to a ant at least once in our life time
