We need to remaster the soundtrack, who can we get that'll do it justice?
Frank Klepacki himself: Yo!
I remember receiving C&C Red Alert for Christmas when it came out, I didn't even bother opening any other gifts ran straight to the computer loaded it up and played until my mom yelled out "If I hear acknowledged one more time today I'm going to throw that computer out the window" Great memories *sigh*
Affirmative
Reply her acknowledge
I had the first Command and Conquer on the Sega Saturn. I always used the cheat codes so I can instantly get an Ion Cannon ready to go (This was back when I was going through my, "Don't care if it's bad, I want the cheat codes). Of course I would use to wipe out the whole map and 'till this day I still get joked around with my parents. I would tell them something about this game and they would just instantly reply, "Ion Cannon ready. Select target," in the most tiring tone ever. Still funny as hell.
I feel the memories.
😂😂😂
I got so addicted to this as a 5-6year old (and much after that),when I couldn't play I was drawing buildings and tanks making a CnC RedAlert battle on paper.
Man I did this as well, drawing little bases in class 😂
That's awesome! I would draw entire maps as well, complete with exploding barrels. I too couldn't stop thinking about this game, haha.
Dude are u my twin brother 🤔
We all shared the same childhood
same and with Tiberian Dawn (C&C1)
This is when creators actually cared about every aspect of the game because they had to develop their own inspiration. This was made before gaming marketing knew what sold. This game had it all, lore, cut scenes, stats, music, graphics, destructive environments, skirmishes, map editor, multiplayer, and the list goes on. The creators paved the way for modern games without past market data. Everything they created is what still sells today. It’s sad that our younger gamers will never get to experience what this game gave to us. If you couldn’t tell, I love this game. I remember the days of yearning to go to school so I could talk to my friends about what mission I played, what was easy, what was hard, how we used units differently, the $hït talking, and setting 46k modem multiplayer dates. “My parents said I can play early Saturday morning because we aren’t expecting any calls, but I have to free the phone line up by lunch.”
"Unit ready..." "Unit lost..." "Unit ready..."
My childhood in a nutshell...
insufficient funds!!
"Mission failed"........BANG BANG BANG!! ( Keyboard buttons flying around the room )
Construction complete
New construction option.
Require more minerals
silos needed 🤣😂
I remember this game as a 12 year old kid in Vietnam that did not know a SINGLE English word. My computer at that time processed this game at like 10000 FPS and everything was in a perpetually fast-forward state. Still clocked about 1000 hours into this masterpiece.
The power of gaming
Story turnaround is that this was 3 years ago.
@@TheCJUN I'm almost 30 dude :))
@@jasonnguyen1840 😁
How did you end up being able to speak fluent English? Did you come and live in the west for a period?
Raptor: "It's Stalin!"
Me: Dude!
Didn’t even correct himself when it said Hitler on the screen.
r/woosh
RIP education system
RIP awareness. And I guess you're all new to the channel, so welcome.
Dude , uncool
When you run out of ore you have "insufficient fun"
Insufficient Funds
Reminds me of an old Snes game i used to play when i was a kid where the special attack was called "Extra Joy"
unless you kno the money cheat lol
It becomes tactical after that

Nothing beats the Comando’s quotes from Command and Conquer. “I’ve got a present for ya!” “That was left handed!”
Tanya might have something to say about that lol
Tanya: Hahaha
Tanya: Shake it baby!
ANONYMOUS nope, the Comando. Command and Conquer had a comando unit for the GDI and NOD. Not sure who Burton is but I see he can be produced in the Chinese barracks, so maybe not an original C&C character/unit?
Wow! I haven't played this game in 2 decades, but I still remember every bit of that intro. So iconic, Westwood made so many great memories.
More than RA2 they should remaster the Dune series. Some of the most underappreciated games out there.
Basically slept out front of the store waiting for CnC. Westwood were gods in the day. Great vid thanks.
One of my childhood games
Agreed.
Hour of hours playing this game so much fun one of best games ever of my childhood
I remember myself playing it 20 years ago, great memories
20 years .. you make me feel old .. and I am 😝
6:53
Einstein: "incredible!"
Tanya: "Yes sir. Let's rock!"
3:32 I forgot about that music for some reason lol, I got goosebumps. 10/10
So many memories. Also DUNE was another one that consumed my youth...LOL!! REINFORCEMENTS HAVE ARRIVED!!
Allied Reinforcements have arrived from the west.
Yup, I just made a Dune comment. I really hope they get remastered too.
To bad we won't see a dune remake. There is problems with the rights to the name. Would love to see another dune rts
one of my favorite responses was "ach-knowledged" and "affeermative" by the soviets.
I preferred the Allied engineers with their hyper-raspy "Engineering... Affirmative" with the second 2/3 of "affirmative" being WAY deeper than seemed natural.
“You must construct additional pylons “
oops wrong game lol
The remaster for that game was already done.
Wrong game lol
The nostalgia 😍😍 I spent easily over 500 hours playing Red Alert when I was a kid 👍 what an amazing game! I'm praying this comes to console... 🤞🤞
My nostalgic days. This brings back those special memories of me playing this game from Am till Am, going to bed with a stiff neck all due to playing this game.
Anyone remember how to unlock those secret ant missions?
Finish the ally mission and have the 3 or 4 ant mission
Hold down the Shift key while clicking on the speaker graphic in the main menu. At least that is how i remember it.
Nani
Missions are now available from the menu itself, no need to search for them
@@YurikoKinai the secret ant / dinosaur missions i.e. ? Tab are still unlocked the classic way i.e. shift left click the speakers / gears on the main menu
Ahh yes, the first RTS game I was introduced too. I love red alert.
Same here, it's the series that got me into RTS.
This reminds me of my confusion when the game was telling me "Silos needed"
I did not knew what a Silo was so I thought the game was saying "Silence needed" so I was wondering if I needed to be more quiet when playing.
I played the game for years as a child not knowing what the purpose of silos were
Lmfao that's such a funny imagery. "Wha? It- it can hear me?"
I used to walk around saying “silence needed” in my head, waiting to go home from school to play.. now I know I wasn’t alone
Holy shit... I was going to comment this exact same thing but figured I'd check quick to see if someone already said it 😂 as a kid i always wondered what the damn game wanted to be quiet
I remember when this game was new. Brings back memories. I still play hell march when playing other games. Thank you for playing game.
In my memory the graphics were like those today I'm in schock it was actually so diffrent
Back in those days where everything was in SD, I think our minds are used to filling in the details through our own imaginations haha. So yeah, the HD version here looks like the version I remembered too!
Current screens are really sharp. Crt’s were not so sharp. Also much smaller. So well it did look better back then. But obviously not as good as this.
You forgot that you played on much smaller screen back then. And on CRT monitors image is less pixelated than on LCD.
@Gary Dawkins There's a making of video. They actually remade the buildings and stuff in 3D and then rasterized it to 2d. So yeah they definitely remastered the graphics...
C&c and red alert IS my childhood ❤️ much fond memories. On a side note: It seems I keep yelling "advice" at the screen :D I miss these games
"He who controls the past commands the future. He who commands the future, conquers the past." Kane (1995)
17:31 When I first saw those grenadiers in the new version I was like "Holy sh!t, they got spider-man troops now!"
The command and conquer series is by far my favorite rts series alongside age of empires and stronghold
It's pretty much everything I hoped for. I love the detail on the sprites. The updated sound effects just draw me in and I'm ready to throw more hours of my life away for this game. 😅
I’m happy to see you play this!
Having started my RTS gaming history with Supreme Commander 2 and Lego Battles. This is a VERY warm welcome! :D
Great memories.
When I got the game I played the intro 5 times and cranked the speakers. So Much FUN.
"Indeed". The graphics look amazing.
My youth..... it's like Einstein used the Chronosphere again, only forward in time to tell us we'd need this remastered. Hours i spent with my dad, 4am gaming on school/work days, mom
laughing her rear end off finding us asleep at the keyboards..... the times. Showed my dad this and he nearly wept with joy. Good thing fathers day came around ;)
Memories flooded back as soon as Hell March played
In 1995 I was eight years old, and C&C red alert dominated several years of my youth until Starcraft came out. I remember listening to Hell march through the in-game music player and any mission where you were given cruisers i just took so much time and tried to creep pillboxes and/or gun turrets with ore silos towards the enemy. Great memories. "Cha-ching!"
25:54 Raptor, I believe they said that they lost the originals or something to that effect, so they were unable to remaster the Live-Action cutscenes.
I ask one if there would open source it as there stop support it / selling the game, in order we could make fix and mod for the game. They said there lost the code for the game.
@@A51UK Code was found, the music was found, the video files originals were not and as such they had to be AI upscale through post processing.
Wow...this is a remaster done RIGHT. Love that you can toggle on the old graphics too
After watching the video, the only thing I have to add is GLORY TO RAPTORIA!!
Best intro to any game ever hands down second to none
@2:30
Raptor: oh look guys, it's stalin..
Random guy: herr hitler.
Didn't know this was out, the nostalgia is real... One of my all-time favorite games.
I played this on the original PlayStation, and had the cable to link two together. So much fun against my mates in skirmish
Awesome remasters from a time when games were made and released and that was it. No microtransactions, loot boxes or other preadatory monatisation. Just great games made to entertain and enjoy.
We use to edit the Ini file and create chaos:
* Make Yaks in to carpet bombers... LOL
* Increase the number of crates and spawn times
- we would walk away for an hour came back and the map was covered...
- watch as our units either made money, gave you a random unit or explode, as we tried to make our way over to the others base... LOL
* I remember a unit with a Lazer was involved...
* made bombers available to buy and land on your airstrips...
What did others do with the ini file?
Rules.ini! Good times. I got stuck on that Allied 'interior' mission where you have to go through the inside of an atomic bomb facility with just a handful of infantry. Failed it a dozen times. Eventually I edited the rules.ini file to give my Medic artillery shells. He'd kneel down, busily unpack all his suitcases and bags, and then KABLAM a shell would fly out of a bag and blow up a bunch of surprised soldiers down the corridor.
There was also a 'napalm' weapon type that wasn't used in the game, meant to be dropped from a plane. I didn't know that, so I tried giving it to a Mammoth tank. It turned its turret to face the enemy... and then a continuous stream of pellets fell from midair onto the tank and burned it to a crisp. Oh how we laughed.
I got a huge grin on my face when that opening music started. This is great. I really hope they remaster Red Alert 2 as well.😁
"Cha-Ching!", "I'm there", "HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!", "Let's rock!", "Let's rock!", "Let's rock!", "Chew on this!", classic Tanya, lol.
In Mission 2, if you are fast enough, you can build a large amount of silos to extend your defensive perimeters to the west to easily contest or even deny enemy access to most of the ore fields in Mission 4.
I like the way you kept the game as close to regular as possible and I always wished I could of took what I had left over to the next level to help start a new base with then jump back and forth 1 or3 levels
That music gets to my gammer core and revived my childhood
Haha me to lol
Great flashback to the glory days of RTS! Please keep adding to this playthrough! Would love to see those of NOD and Kane cut scenes.
That first cinematic with Einstein is always epic.
My uncle brought this game to me, he came in shouting; whaha, I got a present for ya! And slapped the discs on my table. Little did I know how many hours of my childhood I would spent on that present. Where has the time been, i remember it like it was yesterday 😞
I really like the fact that the more music unlocks as you complete missions.
Also, as ore regrows, if you mine in a checkerboard pattern, you'll always be able to harvest. As a bonus, anyone harrassing your harvesters has a bad day.
Years of fun with this franchise, good to be back in HD. Still the best games of its type. No Pay to win. Love it.
I used to draw this when I was a kid. At school, we somehow draw and play this on a paper and I can clearly remember this classmate of mine who draw armies and tanks with just being a stick figures while I take time to draw as precise as possible, so yeah I lose all the time. Good ol times.
This was the first game I ever bought for my computer, $50 @ K-Mart day it came out.
UA-cam doesn't do the graphics enough credit. Especially for Tiberium Dawn.
Tanya’s cha-ching always takes me back to being 11 years old.
I bought this game for my IBM Aptiva. thank you for playing this. I will be viewing this game series until the allies and soviet campaigns are done. you got a new sub.
GLORY TO RAPTORIA
I thought I kept hearing the "Tiberium Scream" all over TV and the movies, until many years later I learned it was called the "Wilhelm scream"
Tanya's voice is like blast from the past! I used to play this game on my PSX
This game piqued my interest in middle school in how computers work and I ended up studying electrical engineering in college. I’ll never forget this game. I still have the CDs from the Domination Pack!
I remember I saw the original C&C for N64 and I really wanted it but my mom said I was too young for it (I think I was 7). That Christmas, I didn’t get it but Santa came and gave it to me. I was so excited and I believed Santa was way cooler than my mom. It was the best christmas. Good times. Little did I know that was the start of my long relation with C&C games. Still going to date
Oh F yes. The first C&C game was my first ever game. Just brought it today. Definitely getting stuck in this weekend
Are all command & conquer games remasterd or just the first two games?
Just the first two games and the expansions.
@@shotbyjonny For now, hopefully they do the same to the original tiberum games too!
2:31 "Ohh look guys it's Stalin"... Wait, what? Look at that moustache dude. 😂
Few seconds later "Herrr Hitler"
At 27:54, they are based on Chinese Type 62 light tank, China in Command and Conquer universe affiliated themselves with Allies and GDI. However, in TD they also secretly backed Brotherhood of Nod.
Type 62 light tank:
I always found the Efficiency and Leadership scores in C&C and Red Alert pretty funny. In the first game, I remember I got 100% for both on the GDI Commando mission, only to be told later that I blew up the wrong building, haha. I love this Remaster!
Raptor, you're bringing back the old school crowd now. Crack open a Pepsi Clear and let's go!
Finally got a new pc after 12 years. Will be getting these remastered. Good memories
Good thing the remastered RA1 allows you to queue multiple units. As what I remember, in the original, you have to wait until the unit building/training has been completed, before building/training another one.
"Lets bring the previous owner of this award of best RTS onto stage to present the award to the successor"
>C&C Red Alert Stands up and walks onto stage
"Hello everyone id like to present this illustrious award to myself, from me."
"It is such an honor to be able to give and receive such accolades at once, as such i'll see you all again when they remaster Red Alert 2"
"Unable to comply, building in progress."
Comrade?
That first ad placement was perfect right after the intro cutscene :D
Ok that opening scene was surprisingly good
engineering? Affirmative :D
The Cutscenes from older games were just better lol. They might not look as graphically crisp and clear, but they were just better.
I havent played RA2 since like 1997 lol. I dont remember the lines, though the voice actor for the base, yeah, I know that voice and Tanya....the bad ass with the C4 and pistols lol. Also, Mammoth tank...always played, I think Russia or Ukraine just to build those. That and Tesla towers ZAP!
Pretty sure on mission 2 you where supposed to use the engineer to take the hq after weakening it with arty. Also arty out ranges fire turret but not tesla
This franchise is probably one of the best selling ones around... I remember I was waiting for the shops to open, on the day, Tiberian Sun was released.... This game play calls up some memories with me, most definitely...
I was 12 years old when the original released, loved these games from day 1! And boy was I in love with Tanya ;)
I appreciate the fact that you dont paste your pic all over the screen and we can see the game in all its glory.
"Ak. Ak. Ak..Acknowledged"
I'm so excited to see this released. The download is huge though, waiting on it to download! The anticipation is killing me! Nice video!
Even though i never played this game, it feels very nice to see a remaster of this loved game!
played this a lot as a kid with my friend, and we're still best mates to this day. Great memories.
"Silos full..."
"Insufficient funds..."
"Nuclear missile READY."
"Chronosphere READY."
"Unit READY."
"Construction Complete."
"New Construction options."
Please do a part 2! As someone who has not played RA, you always have a great personality to go along such games :D
Like that KFC joke you just did xD
this is incredible. I wholeheartedly hope they release Red Alert 2 and Yuri's Revenge Remastered as well!
@Raptor haven't heard you this happy before.
@33:31. In the original version of Red Alert once you destroy the Mobile Construction Hard, War Factory and Barracks the computer immediately sells all the buildings and all the enemy soldiers come out and do a mass Banzai charge at you.
For me is to build all buildings, lot of everything that producing money, strong base defense, then start to build up my troops and send them out to attack enemy.
This way i don't have to worry about my base being attacked, and i would have enough money to build more troops and encounter the attack while the attacking forces are on duty.
one of the greats of all time indeed
I literally on Monday started looking for all the CnC games again to play during the lockdown. My favourite was CnC3: Tiberium Wars, but you really can't fault any of these classic rts games (other than that they are old). I really wish someone would remaster Dune or Dune2000 though.
God i played this over and over again. Fell in love as a young boy lol.
Still have my copy of C&C and red alert!
Haha the Einstein hair was really awesome "incredible!"
I played command and conquer red alert 1 when I was on elementary school via PS1, and up to this date, I still dont know the purpose of Ore Silo, except for base crawling :D
I wonder how I got to play c and c back in the days. I can't remember seeing it anywhere before. I just remember getting the game box and being blown away by the game. I did play dune 2 before though, so maybe my dad got it for me thinking it would be something for me. With red alert was when I really got hooked. Used days making my own maps in that game and warcraft 2
Commander?, training, unit ready, reinforcements have arrived, acknowledged, ah-ffirmative, yes sir?!, shake-it-baybah!, ready and waiting, our base is under attack, unit lost, low power, insufficient funds, new construction options, awaiting orders, very well, vehicle reporting, agreed, reporting, at once.
