Raptor, for the ant missions, shift click the speaker on the main menu. At least that's how it worked in the old game.

When you're so early the Soviet Union still exists.
Don't forget to group your units. I believe it was ctrl+num in the original. Saves a lot of time selecting things.
Ahh yeah the secret ant mission. I remembered it too well. If I remember correctly, you can unlock it by beating either allied or soviet campaign. Man those ants were terrifying back then.
If I remember correctly... Destroying the civilian buildings might give you some bonus boxes.

I'm not going to lie, I got so excited when I heard they were making a new CnC. I found myself still bitter over CnC 4 and Generals 2 being cancelled. Than I found out that this CnC game was remastered. Again I was bitter. I want a NEW experience but after watching it for hours now being played on UA-cam...…..I'm going to pick it up. It's bringing back way too many great memories. lol
hey Raptor, this may sound wrong, but try destroying the churches (civilian buildings as well) sometimes there is a lot of cash in it!

Aww what an awesome game.. will get it soon as well, meanwhile watching your vids.. few additions regarding your gameplay. if you send engineers into enemy silos you get their funds. tanks alone are not very effective versus enemy troops and try to maintain a good mix of units. tanks allone need rifle and grenade troopers for support. send your harvester to gems thats double the funds per run. selecting a team of units and pressing CNTRL + a number assigning a team number. press the number again and you select the assigned team no matter where u are on the map. cheers mate keep playin.. like your commenting!

2 refineries and 2-3 trucks per refinery is usually a good way to keep constant pour of finance.

I remember getting a hold of a file where you could alter the INI files and i gave the planes nuke tip bullets
Pro Tip: hold ctrl + alt then click on harvester or any other unit to guard them
You need to build two refineries and at least six miners for your economy to be effective. Especially when you want to spam units.
Tip for the future Raptor always build airfield because its generating free paratroopers over time

I think you have to ctrl+click on the speaker to unlock the ant mission and also the bolts unlock DLC.
The 3 mission was a fail!! you always split your forces clear out the northern base and have the dogs waiting for when he gets off the hovercraft

Revisiting the Red Alert 1 universe with better military knowledge, the Medium Tank cannot be the Abrams and the Heavy Tank cannot be the T-80. The weight classes were wrong. Based on the era, the most lore-fitting would be:
M48 (or some modernized variant) as the Medium Tank - this would settle the part where the gun was either 90 mm or 105 mm as some modernized M48 variants used the 105 mm.
T-55 (or some modernized variant) re-scaled for double barrels as the Soviet's basic tank. The concept of Heavy Tank would be deferred to another. The T-55 here fits! because there are T-55 modernized variants out there which look very much like the T-80 shown in RA1 cutscenes.
When you have captured both sides' War Factories, the dilemma would be whether to build $800 or $950 tanks. They are both so close in cost and effectiveness that they both almost if not make each other obsolete and clutter up your build menu. The solution is to introduce the M60 to replace the $800 option and remove the $950 tank to be replaced with an expensive $2,500++ Abrams that will become the new Heavy Tank, which could even be double barreled as you have combined both sides' tech. The M60 here fits! because there are M60 modernized variants out there which look very much like the Abrams shown in RA1 cutscenes.
Then the old Mammoth itself will be bumped up into a higher cost and power level.

Does this game have the same mechanic where if you build multiple unit production buildings, the unit production time decreases?

use ore silos to place defensive structures right on the AI paths... In doing so you shouldn't lose a single trooper in the first 5 levels of either game. (after you get the defenses.) Churches and trucks often contain healing items or cash. Also gems in the ore fields are WAY better than the gold. like 1.5x better per truck if memory serves But annoyingly, the ore trucks always target the gold ore instead, so you have to kinda micro them if you want a full stack of gem ore. Also hold control and a number and you can assign hotkeys to types of troops. buildings absolutely stack, and I don't think there is a cutoff for the stacking. though I haven't tested that. Mostly it comes down to physical room, but with the ore silo trick, you can come up with CRAZY base defense, and depending on how big the structure is, you can even pace buildings within the build radius. (The small power plants can fit I think.) Double click on the building to set it as primary. Red Alert REALLY punishes an aggressive play style. try being more defensive in general, focus on building base defense then striking. 31:23 as you see three ore haulers is the maximum for each building, I actually use just two, because the trucks have to wait, and sometimes that extra few seconds to finish a unit can make or break you. Have you played online yet?

I'm so sad right now....................with all the 3d rts game engines out there like red dragon for example.....im seeing my beloved gaming childhood be blantantly monetised with no love or respect. Glad a billion dollar gaming publisher spent bugger all to upgrade this gem.
