This song is awesome. It amazes me just how pertinent and applicable the music of the 60s is today and what we as people's of countries nations and of the world currently face and are forced to deal with each and every day. More people need to listen to this. More politians and heads of state need to listen . This song is a lyrical master piece that says so much if you take the time to just simply listen
Rana Asim Wajid no it not, its mine. I recorded it as a personal project, I've always loved Dylan and these lyrics and sometime the best way to get to understand a song is to sing it.
Rob Elliott Absolutely true when you hear your own voice reciting something that appeals to you or you find truth in it goes into your figurative heart that inner YOU😯
+Andrew Pearson thanks Andrew.. my constructive criticism is above..cant wait for psuedo hi ground. Fools try to cover Dylan. Of all the REAL talent in this great big world, Eddie Vedder did an impressive "MASTERS OF WAR. and that is a "sacred" song. Never cared for others. Byrds..Mr Tambirine Man, took the bite out. rode on contains to fame. blah!
Rob Elliott 😯 I think whoever recites something they need to speak in a way that shows they understand what they are saying in poetry pauses extended words subtle nuances expressed vocally et. all. are all tools to speak a poetic piece. This person did this very well without trying to imitate the timbre of Dylan's voice can you imagine being able to remember all these words, Dylan was a hard worker among other qualities😯
Rob it's bloody brilliant..love your version....and I'll listen again and again ❤❤❤❤
These lyrics set the bar so high, it's insane.
I've listened to this song countless times since it was released & it is still as fresh and totally relevant as that first day.68 & it still relates.
I'm here because of his interview on 60 Minutes.

Instantly captivating. The printed words are very helpful . I have listened 3 times in a row & I could go.
20th Century poetry. ❤❤❤❤
Maybe because it's perhaps one of the best lyrical masterpieces of the last century?
You did a pretty good job of this. I enjoyed it. Thanks
It is, Rob, it is!
Best political emotional poem ever written

And it's ''to understand you know too soon...''

It sounds better to me when played at x1.25 speed
Pink Guy thanks for your insightful comments much appreciated

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO..................................................
So some black kid heard this in the 70s and turned it in as Rap
Donny brown 😯
Rap began way back as black prison poetry😯
Why the hell is my English teacher making me listen to this?
SkylarLynn Edits listen to the lyrics
SkylarLynn Edits it's a poem
SkylarLynn Edits your teacher is like my dad...
lol ik this is late but give him the lyrics to lose yourself and don't tell him its rap
man. I wish I had a teacher like yours... I would knew the world quite long ago
it's "darkness at the break of noon shadows even the silver spoon" you've taken the meaning out of the sentence with the lyrics on here
Excellent song lyrics, but i have to say ,...Roger Mcguinn sings the song way better. Just check out the movie EASY RIDER if you don't believe me.
Whaaa???
Whaaa? What's up ?
This sounds different to other versions, is it Dylan?
No.
Dylan even said he didn’t write these lyric as if they came like magic after he sold his soul. Go to bob Dylan sells his soul (in his own words also)
Way too slow ?
p.s. nice try..on the lyrics.. or di u copy from the wrong guy..again
No, it isn't.
This guy is terrible. He should leave it to Dylan. He crucifies the syntax, the meter.
Thanks for your constructive criticism, have a nice day :)
