Pure Imagination - Easy Piano Chord Voicings

- Pure Imagination is a song from the 1971 film Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory. It was written by British composers Leslie Bricusse and Anthony Newley specifically for the movie.
For most of it, I utilized only the chord tones that go up to the 7th. The purpose of this video is to offer an easy way into the Jazz world for beginners or pianists who don't know where to start when studying Jazz. The chord voicings are simple and follow roughly the same principle. After you get them under your fingers you will be able to easily play more and more Jazz repertoire. Have fun learning and playing this arrangement!

Hey Byron, I'm glad you found it useful! At 1:05 I would keep a Bb-Ab pedal în the left hand and in the right hand you could play: Bb7(2nd inversion)-Ab(3rd inversion)-Gdim7-Fm6(2nd inversion).

where can i get the midi files for all of your music? it's really good
I haven't made them available anywhere. What would you need them for?
@@PianoDigitalScores I am part of the virtual piano community, we use QWERTY sheets to play our music and we get these from converting midi files. I really like your music and a few other people wanted your sheets too so I checked it out and saw that your music was indeed purchasable but the purchase did not come with the midi file as well. Then I made that comment. If you’re curious to see what virtual piano is, check one or two of my videos on my channel.

We use midi files and convert them to text to be able to play it. I have some videos on my channel of me playing it. I looked at your purchasable sheets but the purchase did not come with a midi file. Some piano creators like Piano Deuss and Samuel Fu offer their entire midi catalog as like a $5 patreon subscription.
@@7vlw If you'd like to play these arangements and would prefer to read the notes from a music sheet you can grab the score from sheetmusicplus. You can then record yourself on a digital keyboard, export it in midi format and use that for whatever purpose.
@@PianoDigitalScores I have no knowledge of playing real piano, and I don’t have a real piano to begin with, we have a program that instantly takes the midi files and converts it like any other type of file conversion.
