Search and Destroy Method

  • If you are transitioning, trying to grow out your hair or just trying to maintain length then try the Search and Destroy Method! I always Search and Destroy on clean hair because product buildup can actually coat the hair, hiding the split ends. It's also very important to use hair shears rather than regular household scissors. Make sure your shears are sharp because dull scissors can further damage the hair. I do this method once every other week just to maintain healthy edges without the risk of getting inches cut off at a salon when you only ask for a little trim! Keep in mind that if your hair is much shorter, doing this method will be difficult since you won't really be able to see your ends closely.
    The shears I used are

    Approx $54.99

I got 2 trims in a year and my hair only got worse. Even after that trim the same day, i couldnt comb through my hair. Then 3 days ago, i decided to instinctively do the search and destroy method bc i felt my single-stranded knots and splits escaped the blade during my initial trims. I did this trim while watching kdrama so it didn't feel like so much work. Lo and behold, i had my washday last night and my ends have been the best, so defined, knotless, soft smooth 4b/c ends. Butter them up too, the ends. And i rinsed my hair with diluted lemon juice before washing with a very moisturizing black soap. My hair is all shine and no single frizz.

Love the helpful tips! I have not done this method yet but would like to do it soon. ( I think I need to) I notice you said you did the search & destroy on clean hair. Please let me know if any conditioner or leave is in the hair?
I also have a question: I feel my hair is well moisturized, for the most part) but I sometime feel like friz gets me good, let me know if you have any tips, tricks or products you like that help with friz control

Hey! in this video, I had just washed my hair so I have nothing in it at all. you can deep condition after or style after as you normally would but I like to have my hair completely clean, not even a leave in. Also, one of the first rules I tell my friends about frizz is finger control! Don't touch your hair after you have finished styling. While your hair is drying, don't touch it. What kind of products do you like to use on your hair?

Hi, do you get regular salon haircuts as well? And if so, do you get your hair cut dry or wet? Thanks!

regenschirm37 Hey!! So I do get a professional trim at a salon when I feel it's necessary. I have not gotten an official deva curl or curl by curl cut yet. My cousin is a hair dresser and has been cutting my hair wet. I hope this helps!

Well im 14 and broke and my mom says use scissors
( My hair is curly/wavy. My real mom was white and chinese and had straight hair but my real dad was black and korean with super curly hair. Thanks dad I've broken many hair ties) and my adoptive mom is korean so she doesn't understand the struggles of curls... Ig I'll be that one dumb bitch who uses scissors 😭😭😂😂
