Aww you’re very beautiful! I definitely wish you would’ve started with just your hair, it was a great length. But we live and learn. Happy healthy loc journey ❤
I watched your install video and you added the hair ontop of your braids instead of just braiding the extension onto the end. So the loc you made was way thicker than your natural hair density. So now the hair is growing out you are seeing the natural density of your hair now causing you to need to go in and make some repairs.
Yes, you’re absolutely right! Funny enough I really did not anticipate the extensions and my natural hair puffing up the way that it did. If I could go back, I would’ve definitely just added shorter extensions more towards my ends like you said; then I would still have my 300+ loc count and some of the density that I began with… you live you learn, right😮💨
@ADoseOfGINGER but I must say when you first installed they looked amazing!!! But that method is just better for temporary extensions than permanent ones unfortunately. Glad to see the Bob is working out too. I actually recently cut my locks into a bob a while back, I was just tired of having uneven hair my back grows a lot faster than the front looked like I had a long mullet 🤣
@ how are you liking your Bob? and same here, I was really just trying to get rid of that uneven look🥴 If I’m being honest when I look at old photos and videos, I’m still torn. And the temptation to start over is crazy but when I think about the amount of work that went into installing the style (how long it took!) I’m choosing to be content with what I got 😭
@ADoseOfGINGER it's fine I actually do wear a lot of braids and twists and I also dyed my hair ginger. I have a video on my channel with how I do my invisible locks when I had my starter locs. But there was something you said in your video that really stuck with me. Something along the he lines of "I didn't trust my hair to be what I needed". That really made me think for a bit, like why am I not trusting my hair ? I have seen my hair do amazing things and I still don't always trust it.
Hey!! So sorry to hear that! I’m located in Long Island, New York. Though I’m not a professional loctician, I do take care of a few peoples Locs. Whether it’s routine retired or re-twist, reattaching locs that have fallen out/ broken off or as you’ve seen in this video combining Locs to promote healthier growth and strengthening the roots when necessary.
Hey! Unfortunately yes, I can still see the difference between my natural density vs the added hair but it isn’t every single loc so I’m already working on a new way to fix it. I can see now that in my install I definitely made the mistake of adding too much extra hair (even though I didn’t think I was) The bob cut helps to hide the disproportioned Locs though

Thank youuu! And yeah I was worried they’d be too thin; now I see that my hair would’ve puffed up beautifully.
Thank you for this video… I’m 12 months into my journey and I’m experiencing the same issues… I pray that your channel flourishes!!
CONGRATS on 12mths!! I’m so glad you found the video helpful!! Thank you for your support 🥹🫶🏽
From your mouth to God‘s ears 🙏🏽😁
I'm experiencing the same issues. Good video.

Where are you located? Do you offer this repair service?

@@ADoseOfGINGER thank you. Too far. Thanks anyway.
Is the addition of human hair still affecting you? I wondered if there will always be a proportion issue with your natural density vs the addition.
