I've never watched Animax, but I dug in the rabbit hole of their mid-2010s identity crisis and found how fascinating and nostalgic the band's identity is.
It was very 00s but ngl I couldn't help but like it a lot. Even if it was the era that most of these channels ended up shutting down with. Only Asia and Germany survived, possibly because anime was still the major focus of those countries' Animax. They did dabble in live-action stuff tho, but it was never the focus.
