Before watching this, I'll just leave my thoughts about it here: I get what they were going for, but I think the three different Doctors just had different storylines in mind and that lead to the story feeling very disconnected. The only notable thing was the Ainley Master turning up. It's been a while since I've listened to Forty, but I seem to remember him being Kamelion in that story, just like in Masterful. I could be wrong, but that would make this the official recasting of Ainley, which makes me very excited for the future. Or who knows, maybe we'll just get the fortieth anniversary of the seventh Doctor in 2026 and he'll turn up in that one too, making it a Master trilogy. Time will tell. I just hope we get a third Doctor Adventures with the Delgado Master, or maybe even Pertwee vs Ainley could be neat
I rather enjoyed listening to 'Trials of a Time Lord', though I can see that it won't be everyone's cup of tea. It is a monster-mash runaround, but I did like some of the surprises in it. I was already half-expecting the Daleks to make an appearance, since Davros was in it, but I was not expecting the 1980s incarnation of the Master to appear! It was also fun listening to the clash between the Imperial Daleks and the Cybermen in the final episode. 😎 I also rather liked the appearance of Peri in this one. Whilst there have been various post-Mindwarp stories done, like 'The Widow's Assassin', I think that 'Trials' is the first story to really showcase Peri's status as a Warrior Queen, especially in her first scene where she singlehandedly dispatches a whole squad of Cybermen! I think it makes the whole scenario of her marrying Yrcanos that little bit more believable! 😆
At the rate the villains were showing up I was wondering at what stage was the Borad going to be behind it all… Repetitive story, not for me! Solid opening that just meandered to a bit of a pathetic end… That was a bit harsh, but you get what I mean 🫣

At the moment it’s probably my least favourite real ease of the year so far.
