10 Things NOT TO DO at Plitvice Lakes National Park | #Croatia in 30 days
Plitvice Lakes National Park (Croatian: Nacionalni park Plitvička jezera, colloquial Plitvice, pronounced [plîtʋitse]) is one of the oldest national parks in Southeast Europe and the largest national park in Croatia. In 1979, Plitvice Lakes National Park was added to the UNESCO World Heritage register.
The national park was founded in 1949 and is situated in the mountainous karst area of central Croatia, at the border to Bosnia and Herzegovina. The important north-south road connection, which passes through the national park area, connects the Croatian inland with the Adriatic coastal region.
The protected area extends over 296.85 square kilometres (73,350 acres). About 90% of this area is part of Lika-Senj County, while the remaining 10% is part of Karlovac County.
Each year, more than 1 million visitors are recorded. Entrance is subject to variable charges

We are Eleise and Lawrence & Nyh - A young family from the south of England. Like many people the pandemic gave us a shake up! While watching hours of Mark Weins in Thailand - We had our “Ah ha” Moment. We decided we wanted to travel.
Enjoying working for ourselves, we didn’t want to give up our business and decided it was entirely possible for us to do both. So we set about making it our lifestyle to work in the UK for a month, and then travel for a month - month on, month off…. until our little boy Nyh goes to school! We want to inspire people that you don’t have to up-sticks, sell all your belongings and leave behind family to be able to see the world.
Our Philosophy. Work, Travel, Repeat.

I was just there last Wednesday when we were in Croatia. It wasn't on the list of things to do but I convinced my wife that we should make the 3 hr drive each way to see this.
I kept reading that you should get here early. So we arrived at 7:30am after leaving our appt at around 3:30am..lol.
There was hardly anyone in the park or at least while we were walking the entire C trail until we got to the entrance 2 at around 11:30. After that when the bus took us back down to Entrance 1 there were so many people it was horrible, busses of kids, busses of tour guides..etc.. Looking back down at the main water fall the entire trail looked like a Disney queue. I'm so happy we were able to walk the entire thing and not have people around us. My biggest advice is get there early. Unfortunately, the day that we went the sun wasn't out and it was gloomy/cloudy. Still super beautiful though. Everyone should come to see this park at least once in your lifetime. It was breathtaking.
What a stunning park. Great video guys 🤗
Hey Angus 👋... It was unreal. The camera didn't do it justice. Truly a one of a kind. 🖤🖤

Well, you can visit Kutarevo, bear sanctuary, if you want to see bears.
Maybe next time 😅🖤
God bless you and your family
Hey Adeel 👋... Thank you ☺️🖤
great vid! where is link to budget tracker please?
Croatia is not only the coast
Alot to see in the inland
Alot of beautifull lakes...rivers and mountains
Food is way cheaper and portions bigger the more east you get
Couldn't agree more... we will definitely be go further east on our next visit. Thanks for the tips ☺️🖤
Great video. Yeah, definitely buy tickets online because there are limited number of tickets sold each day. So it can happen that you go there and there are no more tickets left to buy.
Thank you Daria... great point 🖤
^ How long would you estimate it take to get to the first rest stop.. where the snack places are? I am going with my parents who are in their 60s and i want to get there early, but worry about where the bathrooms are lol......
Sziasztok
Szuper videó
Köszönjük szépen
Kérdésem hogy valóban lehet az ember közelében medve? A park területén.
Én nagyon félek tőle.április 12.- én megyünk a parkba.köszönjük ha válaszolsz❤️❤️🙏🏼🙏🏼
I was picking up the coins that people would throw at plitvice lake in 1983 on the side of the wooden walkway. It was the winter probably December, not sure. I was a 10 yr old boy and It Was my first trip abroad with my family lol. I remember I had filled a whole bag with them and they seemed millions in the water. I think nobody told me back then not to pick them.for me it felt like a treasure ahah
WOW!!! What a great memory! The place is amazing isn't feels like you're dreaming walking around! 🖤
@@parttimetravellingfamily yes , it's true that's how I remember it !
Plitvice is great park. If you have the chance, I'd recommend a visit to the Krka national park also. It would be a shame to miss it. It's also very beautiful and you can swim there. Additionally, as you seem to like history - it holds a historic techno gem - second oldest hydro electric power plant in the world & the first one in Europe. By Nikola Tesla credits, this plant was commissioned two days after Niagara falls plant. But, Krka was the first one on-line and City of Šibenik was the first city in the world to be supplied with AC power. The plant with it's original parts are displayed, you can take pictures next to turbine shaft, etc...
Wow!! Awesome history. We were going to go to Krka for that very reason.. but apparently you can no longer swim in it. So we gave it a miss. 🖤. We appreciate your support Danijel
@@parttimetravellingfamily oh, so sorry, I didn’t even know there was a swim ban set. But it is, such a shame. Enjoy & take care.
👍
☺️ thanks Sassa 🖤
14:17 😆🤣🤣
Have to check this stunning place out on our next trip - hope you'll be hitting up Montenegro , geographically more beautiful than Croatia in my opinion with some of the beautiful old towns perched at the foot of the Fiord....there is nowhere more beautiful where land meets water .'' Lord Byron''
Montenegro will definitely be making and appearance ☺️🖤
No you did not, that ending 💀🤣🤣
Comment
