As a filipino living overseas, I appreciate filipino culture more now. The fiestas, the festivals, the views. No wonder not a lot of us go to therapy, singing in itself is some sort of therapy and it's perfectly acceptable to sing anywhere.
There is a deep reason why filipinos curious about foreigner because it's part of our culture to know the person new to our place..we are so connected with one another in a community specially in provinces and mostly we are relatives living in one community. be thankful if one ask you because this will help you keep safe in our country PHILIPPINES.. be friendly and respect..
Be thankful...sheesh. Few Filipinos want to know information so they can take advantage or rob you later. Respect is earned not given. By the way, I am a dual citizen.
regardless you put down your own punoy race . you will be never become whatever your are now. respect your own roots. you probably in USA or CANADA taking for granted on social welfare and food stamps
That's true for filipinos,we work for our family and if we have friends and neighbors needed help, that's automatic,we help. Coz we don't want other people prolong its hardship,we know how it was to be in a hard situation so why not help one another and spread love and kindness. What you give to the universe it would always comes back.
your observational skills are next level, it took me few years to figure out the things you mentioned correctly in couple of weeks. Its all true, Filipinos are the best singers and dancers in the world, Filipinos self criticize their own driving skills a lot but they drive very well, they are very hard working, friendly and give their life for the family and take care of the elderly, the cops are friendly too. Despite gut wrenching poverty, you won't see people stabbing each other in the back or violence. The whole of Philippines is an enigma compared to rest of the world.
Oh there is violence, just be aware it can get ugly with certain Filipinos, don't be fooled by all the smiles, having said that if you're a pretty respectful, savvy and street smart person you're unlikely to have trouble.
Filipinos are what we are, friendly, always happy despite of everything, respect our seniors and above all family oriented. That’s one reason why Filipinos are scattered the world over as OFWs and immigrants. Whose main purpose just to help their families behind. Watching from California.
That Is how Pilipino very friendly and hospitality people and they help to others then they invite you to come and wt inside the house and the laughing and singing and happy people as long you respect the Pilipino and happy in life and be contented what we have even hard life but still always keeping smile

I live in Baguio with my Filipina wife...I'm American. I love the Philippines and the Filipino(a) people but I see things through the lens of a foreigner. Its a different country if your a Filipino. Next time your in a restaurant and the staff is catering to you...look over and see if the Filipino guy can even get anyone to come over and fill up his coffee cup.
Thank you for your positive observations. Filipinos are deep christians. Filipinos are God-centered.. obedience and faith is the key here. Cebuanos, in particular, are more spiritual.. we put or do things considering God first. America is best for making money but at the end still expats will go back home to their country example Phil's and Americans retirees also move to Phil's due to simple life.
funny story, Senator Raffy Tulfo in his radio show calls those gossipers "human CCTV"!😅😅😅 among Filipinos, they are more popularly known as MARITES. Filipinos are really witty when it comes to inventing words. Marites is actually a female name but the reason why it's used as a name for gossipers is because of the phrase "MARE, ANONG LATEST?" which means friend (or girl), what's the latest. they just shortened it. 😅😅😅 mare is a term that is loosely used now for a female friend or acquaintance...so next time you hear the term MARITES, best believe there's ppl gossiping or there's a gossip (CHISMIS IN FILIPINO) going around. or they may even be talking about you. 😅😅😅
karaoke singing should be a sport in the Olympics 🥇😅 Filipino guy here, your observations are on point except the driving part. Pinoys are notorious for disobeying traffic laws, lot of them would even counterflow and they dont stop to give way to pedestrians. But everything else you said is correct 👍

What's the matter that everybody wants to leave America no more American dream anymore.
Loool I'd say it's alive still but dying out forsure
no good culture, but good place for making money
America is best for making money but at the end still expats will go back home to their country example Phil's and Americans retirees also move to Phil's due to simple life.
You'll get annoyed with it when they're singing karaoke until midnight 🤣😅
funny story, Senator Raffy Tulfo in his radio show calls those gossipers "human CCTV"!😅😅😅 among Filipinos, they are more popularly known as MARITES. 😅😅😅
Hahaha of man that's funny yeah it's even better than human CCTV
We are not afraid to any foreigner
Its harder jail sentences for harder drugs crimes. Thats why low crime rate. Stay safe bro
karaoke singing should be a sport in the Olympics 🥇😅
Filipino guy here, your observations are on point except the driving part. Pinoys are notorious for disobeying traffic laws, lot of them would even counterflow and they dont stop to give way to pedestrians. But everything else you said is correct 👍
Hahah thank you bro yeah no one would beat the Philippines 😅😅
