Saw your comment here but didn't see anything in game for early game feedback. I was having a blast! But I just stopped for 2 pretty major reasons so I think maybe worthwhile feedback. 1) Those enemy robots that spawn after you boot the first mana conduit need to be disabled. They're not adding anything to the game. I'm trying to build and I need to break my train of thought to chase these little bastards down and they can REALLY hard to find sometimes. There was one I missed from a pack shooting in the darkness and I just could not find it. It totally destroyed my FPS too as the robots make soooo many blocks. Also the area around and beneath my base was just an enormous cavern after a few hours cos they'd been shooting across the dirt in waves. It became a pain to even get around cos a lot of the terrain was missing. Just get rid of them. They spawn way too often too 2) should maybe only make any recipe produce 1 item. My factory would deadlock cos I ran out of wood and I couldnt find another root, so I made a Solblom farm which produces seeds and wood. If I couldn't use the leftover seeds in biofuel fast enough then the wood would also deadlock. There's no way around this. 2 items need to come from one output, and even if the output is connected directly to a filter pipe it will still get clogged. I would've happily kept playing of it weren't for these 2 things. I didn't make it as far as structural essences cos I was spending about 40-50% of my time chasing the robots and cleaning up the map after them...
@@christophermccutcheon2143 Hey Thanks for the feedback. We will absolutely be improving upon the invasions. There are Mana Turrets that should help attract and kill the invaders at least. It also sounds like we need to balance the Solbloom output. Thanks again and sorry that these things ruined the fun.
@christophermccutcheon2143 Please join the Autoforge discord! It's a great place to get your comments seen by the devs (though they replied here already, yay!) and post any issues you might have.
great video! ive been enjoying this one quite a bit. ive not played factorio so some of the controls werent as intuitive, but you taught me things like limiting chests and the toggle for the collection range, makes more sense now!
I love these kinds of games. I have Terarria, Starbound, Factorio, Satisfactory, Oxygen not Included, Cosmoteer, and Minecraft. All heavily modded to add to the complexity of each. I would love to get this game too. Got it wishlisted on steam.
Game needs to make an animation and sound for when you take damage. You stood in the dark a long time before you died, but you wouldn’t have at all, if the game did a better job telling you that you were taking damage.
Side note (in case you dont discover it later during the video), you take damage when standing in the pixelated areas, Its why you died early on and you took alot of damage when you were gathering in it :)
I don't see any similarity with Forager except the unlocking of tiles and maybe, at a stretch, the special unlocks(though in Forager they are not all visible, so you can't see where you are going unless you look them up).
The early game torch problem cannot be understated... I'm like 8 hours in and i still can't farm the oil to make them. Tempted to think it's better to just not destroy one of the slime spawners. Also you can use the power relays like lights if you bring them with you. They light up when they have power
Well, thanks for this. This seems like a perfect little game to round off my holiday from work... back in a couple days. I spent the last weeks in the depths of a factorio binge. Finally launched a fucking rocket after like 350 hours (not in the same file), but now i'm close to the end i wanna play more but I feel like I dont have time, and this seems like exactly what I was looking for. More Factorio but casual... First rocket launched in a spaghetti base and genuinely i had so much fun making that. The goal was just to launch a rocket by any means so any time I needed something I just fit in somehow... that factory is a mess but it works. It looks like something from the title screen. I love it. 35 hours it took, but then the spaghetti hit it's natural limit since it's not really fit for expanding,... Then i figured I could do better and did a main bus and launched in 22 hours! And actually that was delayed cos I chose to forgo the rocket silo in favour of some bot and military research to make the end a bit smoother.
Nah it's still early access. The tech tree only goes as far as "intermediate" machines, so I think there's still a tier or 2 for them to work out. There's still a lot to do though. Those quests are a tutorial and the thing that pushes you along in the game. After 5 or 6 of them it gives you quests you need to start automating and unlocking more of the map for, but you don't get told to do that. You're just kinda stuck needing to explore further and also needing to automate to get those materials together
It looks a bit like some other game that came out quite a while back... something vacancy? Were you build underground in radioactive waste world and up top zombies tried to get into your base. With the crank drills. But this one looks a bit more automation orientated, so looking forward to this.
Looks really fun, wouldn't mind a UA-cam mode as their compression darkens everything and makes it harder to see things in the game. Edit: it's better on the surface but underground is rough to see at times.
I may or may not have started watching this series purely because I drooped all my goods in chests but could not get them back in the pipes.......... Well at least I have my answer

"Tab is inventory in every other game since oblivion" uuuuh no? tab being the default key for opening inventories is not at all a common convention in the vast majority of games. it's not strange to see someone say that it feels counter-intuitive because of that, so not sure why that's "complaining" in your eyes.
While the response is unnecessary and keybinds are a personal thing for sure, tab is inventory in Terraria which is where the dev got it from I imagine
So happy to see you pick up AutoForge for a series. I hope you enjoy learning and playing the game!
is there a mobile version of it ?

This is what Starbound supposed to be until publisher abused the developers reason the development of this game stopped.
I love Crea, glad to see this has been released!
Yay new game!!!
Reminds me of survival vacancy , very much appreciate this video since that game, fizzled out
Having played a lot of Oxygen not included, the side scrolling nature isnnt that foreign to me.
Another great game recommendation, thanks KoS.
interesting concept to be honest with you
haves a lot of potential
Just started watching, I have this too, not sure if you know, but you can shoot the vines horizontally to get a lot of biomass at once!
Yep. I don't want to shoot many vines because they are my transportation network.
She has 3 cranks in inventory as seen by button 5. I cant make any to put down.....
Do you have enough iron ingots?
Its FANTASTIC to see a game that's released , not tba , my white list has 40 games on it :)

Survival Vacancy. Unfortunately they haven't had an update since 2021 :-(
I did notice, this game is WAY too dark. Not sure if it's just my device, but I can barely see anything immediately outside the glowing blue parts.

What do you mean? The entire game is about building a base.
