Discovering chase and status at 45 has totally brought me back to 97',, the most insane period of my life. I amost feel like im back in. I love it
I'm 53, but grew up in the NYC club scene as a regular at legendary clubs like Limelight, Palladium, Sound Factory, etc and still can't get these beats out of my system! As an older friend of mine so poignantly states: "Once you stop, they throw dirt on ya!" 😎

You gave me a job there and my senior year of high school sweeping floors I'm taking out garbage. You paid me $65 a night I would trip my balls off and then take the first train back to Westchester and go straight to school. Trip your balls off lose your mind to Roni size and then go to school still tripping. Those days were special
@@pclutch Wow I do remember of Vinyl! Can’t remember if I went to that one or not because it’s such a blur back then, but I definitely remember it. By the way I went to high school with the one of the guys who owned Sound Factory, and one of my good buddy’s uncles was one of the door guys at Limelight. Every Thursday night me and him would go up there and walk right past the whole line and get in for free without zero wait. Epic times. 🙌

@SecretSpots thanks, 2024 might have the same significance in the future. You ever go to Concrete jungle on st marks or the raves in the basement of Roseland? Those were out of control. It's a miracle I made it out alive, I know too many people who didn't.

I'm 48 in 2 weeks, love C&S and about 85% of what they produce is pure class. The fact I recorded a clip on Program one night at a Jumping Jack Frost & Micky Finn night for my 11 year old says it all. He's now loving the old jungle tunes too and these boys have truly brought Jungle back to us old timers

God this set list would just need to be posted and we would all feel it! BUUUUT I AM SORRY YOU NEEDED A BETTER M.C.! OR PERSONALLY JUST NOT HAVE ONE! Every now in then you come across a great M.C. that understands just to hype up but let the LEGENDARY ONES do what they do best!
I tend to think of Chase & Status as producers first and DJs second, but fookin' 'ell Saul played an absolute blinder here.
Listening to this set they have taken Andy c .. chase smashed it with old skool feel 🔥🔥🔥🔥... this is how dnb should be !!!!!

@@lynic-0091 That's young 🤣 42 here. "Discovered" DnB around 1996 (still often called jungle at the time).
I used to dance my ass off at dnb parties all the time. Now I don't go nearly as often as I used to, but that's only because partying all night gets more difficult for us old people (actually partying all night is still fine for me, but recovering is more difficult, I'm destroyed for the next days, which sucks).
But when I go, I don't care about being too old. I still go to club nights, music festivals etc. Yeah the kids might see me as the weird old guy, but I don't think they care. And even if they would - I'd just say "is no problem for me, but is a problem for you" 😉
So, my 2 cent, don't be afraid, go to dnb parties as long as you enjoy it and as long as your body allows it 😅

Seen this dude like 9 times in Perth and he always does it for me. Especially his lowkey club appearances. DJ duos dont always work better together on stage. once saw Flume and What so Not dj back when they were doing club sets and it didn't really work as well as when Emoh did it alone.
