Was there a particular reason that the producers of this entirely ignored Ms. O’Keefe? I realize that too many people identify only her with Santa Fe, but the short shrift deserves an explanation.
I think the focus of this program was to feature other artists that influenced the art world of Santa Fe and are not as well known outside of the Santa Fe arena. Georgia O’Keefe is well known and has many other documentaries focused strictly on her life and accomplishments.
And yet no artist detailed other than Georgia O'Keefe has a museum named after them. So despite Hewitt's dislike, she influenced internationally the terrain and spirit of New Mexico. Too bad you gave her so little a mention.
That’s probably because Georgia O’keefe was a phenomenon of her own, she broke the rules in painting, created her own way of painting..a force of nature she was and I’m sure a bit intimidating to those artists painting representational.. maybe they can do a part 2 ha!
I love O’Keeffe but Santa fe is so much more than a single artist. This story presents the beginnings of an arts community many years before O’Keeffe arrived in the late 20’s.
Good chance Okeefe didn’t like Hewitt She was not a shrinking violet Talk to folks who knew her It was refreshing to hear about others and see their work I am a painter and lived there off and on
A joy to watch!
So wonderful, inspirational, and educational. Thank you!
Awesome! Thanks for showing.
Wonderful. well done !
I loved your research and film so much, hi from Australia
Learned a lot.
Impressive.
Beautiful art.
Beautiful state.
Would like the music to be much softer…if at all, tho.
Distracting.

Perhaps someone owns the rights of her work
Why would you blare music throughout an otherwise good program!!
Yes. I agree the music is too loud.
Hard to hear the people speaking.

Native American artists and female artists did not get a big mention . . .

Why is there no mention of Gene Kloss?
@5:24 Oh what a sad photo. Just breaks my heart...
❤
What a difference artists can make. There should be a new political party called the Creative Jaunt Party.
It would be nothing but constant infighting. 😮
Terrible program
Only a terrible mind would think so.
