Kerry Blue are certainly one of the best breeds in the terrier kingdom. I miss my beloved Ania my beautiful adorable Kerry Blue that I had for 13 years :( I now have my 4.5-year-old Airedale Terrier which is lovely and really stubborn LOL xoxo
As not only a Certified Master Dog Groomer but an AKC- licensed 'all arounder' judge, I think this lady has done an excellent job grooming this very patient Kerry Blue Terrier. I cannot be sure, but it appears to me that the dog's coat is 'a little less than ideal', meaning that it is more difficult than usual to groom. Notwithstanding, she did an excellent job, and if she groomed this dog for a client, I am sure he/she was very happy with the result. I, too, concur with some other posts: It would be helpful for the beginners to learn more about which blade you are using, and what they particular blade number. Perhaps as you change blades, you could show the number of the blade on the screen for several seconds. I consider this one of the finer grooming videos out.
This would have been an amazing groom on a light colored table. Her technique and precision are top notch and would have been emphasized by the contrast! Great job to Becki Ensell!
I'd like to see the eyelashes preserved. KBT have beautiful eyelashes. I also trim to allow the dog to see forward. We favor a brick face trim. Nice work.
got three Kerries, I groom them myself, cause a lot of groomers want to make them look like poodles, or they shave them down and give them "puppy Cuts", including messing up the falls... So out of pure necessarily , I have purchased the tools and been doing it myself.
I know Jodi Murphy has a pretty good "by the numbers" diagram in with explanation in her book - "Dog Grooming Simplified" I think I've seen in the past By Breed Andis has a Chart that shows which blades to use...???
What sort of clippers do you use and how many blades would I need? I’m always tidying mine up with scissors but I recon I could do a decent job of cutting my Kerry myself following the vid
I know this may be correct for what humans think this dog should look like but I just have to think the breed standard is wrong if the poor dog can't see directly in front of him. This shouldn't be a problem any breed should have. I can't imagine having hair in my face all day
How often are these poor creatures made to stand still for human's idea of beauty? Spending so much time on the dog from the eyes to the tail left no time to trim the face so that she can eat and drink freely! But, if she’s kept in a cage all the time that should not pose a problem.......

I love a square brick shaped terrier beard!
What grooming products and care tools do you recommend for a Kerry Blue Terrier? I would like to groom my dog myself I will watch you and learn.
Good video, can you detail what # of blade are you using on the different areas. Thank you

Great job. Well done
Hi,
Amazing video. My Kerry is 3 months. Could you put all the materials you used in the description?
Thanks in advance.

Thank you for the video. What Andis tools did you use?

I know this is the traditional look for this dog, but ...........
Looks like a little pony 😆
Not bad for a pet trim too much clipper work should be sissor

I know it looks like it disturbs the dog but the dog can see fine, the only negative thing about it is that it is very warm in the summer.

I like the Kerry blue because they're smaller dogs and right between the look of a bouv and a giant schnauzer. Good size, good looking dog.
