He did break his fibula the year prior to this, and broke his foot in 2016 when they reunited. So the jumps have been perilous at times haha

I read once that he tapes up his ankles for gigs! He was taking a chance doing that jump

@@OnAFuckinSuzuki, Yes, Axl does a lot to protect his ankles during concerts. I do not know about taping, but I do know that the boots themselves & also the collars he wears on his boots, are some of the ways he also protects his ankles :)

The tv’s (monitors) were for the lyrics. This was during the Use Your Illusion I & II tour and the average set list was 20 songs. I remember MTV did an interview with the band and asked why Axl needed the monitors. He said it was more for the other musicians/singers that the band employed during the tour.

    • @kerenolivero7097

I believe GnR still have monitors with the lyrics, during their concerts. It is just a part of their stage set up.

The monitors have the lyrics to the songs on them, so Axl Rose and the backup singers remember who it goes.
    Alan Strom
Very modestly. I am a very strong Singer, yet I do forget the words to songs.
    I would definitely need Monitors.
It's strange because I have an eidetic memory for everything else.
It's obvious why Ozzy Osborne uses Monitors.
Australia's John Farnham lifts his Left Foot in the air when he forgets a lyric.

God I love this song. It was in the top 3 when I saw them and heard those drums I felt my heart stop for a quick second in shock before screaming "YES!" For anyone wondering the other 2 were "Rocket Queen" and "Coma".

I saw their shows 8 times back in the days of 1991,1992 and 1993. I saw this show a couple of months later in my country. They were so spectacular and great back then. Saw them also 4 times in 2012, 2017 and 2018, but those shows didn't mean much to me. The 80s and 90s shows were their heydays. Yes, the song lyrics are on the monitors.

This wasn’t in Paris. This was GNR @ the Tokyo Dome. Another great show. They had a DVD for this concert. Great show. Axl’ legs from say 88-til this concert in 92 or 91. I forget, been a few decades. But they went from skinny to all muscle/Big from all those jumps/constant running up & down the ramps.
Best frontman I’ve ever seen. Not just in the 90’s …..The best ever!!!

There is a couple of Videos from Guns and Roses When Axl Rose has been running around the stage with a Boot on because he broke his leg l think when you see them from Chicago in the 90's shows.

People rave on about Axl & Slash being so great, yet they'd be lesser of a Band without their 2nd Guitarist, Bass Player and Drummer maintaining & delivering the driving rhythm.
Every Band member is providing brilliant Backing Vocals.
We can all hear that this is a very tight n punchy Rocker.
You Could Be Mine just might be my fave Gunners tune, it's always hard to choose.
The Sound Engineer has got the mic on the High Hat, so we can hear it being crunched by the awesome Drummer.
    Great song, Great Band.
Axl Rose is another Great AQUARIAN!!!!!

Bands shouldn't tease Japanese crowds with long drawn-out endings like that, because they are so polite that they'll wait until they are sure the song has finished before they erupt with applause and cheering.
