The Jenlisa 90's inspired rap was so clean and fresh, Jisoo literally slayed with all her visuals and amazing vocals, and rosè guitar was fricken iconiccccc!!!
It'll be hated because they aren't Blackpink. By means, you can't just deny that the girls really owned their songs. Look for covers and you'll be back for the original.

Ready for love was rosé era... Cheasoo?? Jisoo barely got any lines and the only memorable line was her leading up to rosé's vocals. A two second line just to get replaced by rosé after. Still loved it but wanted more jisoo and rosé slayed just wish jisoo got more lines. (Jennie didn't fit the song well but still slayed)

The first time I was a bit "ehh?" for the chorus part since it was something different and unique but for the 2nd and 3rd listen I got used to it and it's actually well placed. Still tho everyone is talking about the Jenlisa rap while I'm here mesmerized by the last and pre chorus lmao Rosé and jisoo killed it.
Pink venom definitely doesn't sound the same which is why it sounds good. I loved the chorus, it's definitely gets stuck. Intro was my favourite because it took me by surprise because we all were not expecting that. The styling was amazing, all of them looked so damn good. The things that I didn't like were the lyrics and ending. Lyrics were a bit tacky and didn't make sense but that's okay I can overlook that Ending disappointed me a bit, It seems like they wanted to create that powerful climax similar to hylt but it sounded really weak and empty.
The lyrics make a lot of sense, they are just not that "explicit" to understand, but they make sense specially because what they are saying is something related to BP and everything they have achieved and their popularity, is a "savage" song.
Tbh, this is the most fair line and screen distribution. Yes, JenLisa has most lines but they were repetitive. I love how CheaSoo vocal shined. Jisoo as Visual had screen time. Rosie as main vocal shined, and even had one of the most screen time. Lisa has her “dance break” by being in the middle in the chorus. And Jennie being the main rapper. Finally.
But how is it different? 😭 it literally has the everlasting bp structure and just reused stuff that they used in their previous songs. It’s basically snippets put together with a pretty mid to bad chorus and bad lyrics.

This song has mixed genres, and I know that some people ALWAYS complain about the line distribution but it doesn't really matter they still slayed, all of them and their parts. This was an interesting comeback and it was worth the wait, for me. My opinion. :)
Y'all be forgetting that this is just a pre-release single. A comeback to let everyone know that they're back. The song itself is great even with the same formula of their prev songs. The laid back subtle chorus is just perfect for me because it's different from what we're used to which is the hard slapping choruses. So for a pre-release single, this is still awesome. Remember, they have a whole album to release, that's what you have to look out for.

Their old songs didn’t have hard slapping chorus 💀but it was better than pink venom. Pink venom was all over the place and it didn’t have a vision of what to be . It had the same format as KTL and HYLT I miss the old blackpink back when they actually had unique and good songs. I do hope their actual comeback slays

Hear me out. In my opinion, this is the perfect example of a PRE-RELEASE. It shows what the group is capable of and what they are trying to achieve as a group. The mix of sounds from korean sounds to hip-hop to lovely k-pop vibes they show it all. They serve us the things they can do in the upcoming album and in the future. Korean instrument - shows that BP, eventhough the biggest GG in the planet, is not detaching themselves to their Korean roots and chose to represent its pop culture to the world. JENNIE HAS THE STRONGEST RAP VERSES -shows that Jennie could show more of her rap in the future, be it hip-hop or girl crush. She might drop a mix-tape or a new rap track if she got some demo by now. JISOO'S VOCAL HIGHLIGHTED - Pink Venom is hinting that Jisoo is getting her solo soon. The song highlighted her range esp. in the bridge. ROSE'S ROCK VIBE - Rose in this release showed her true self, she's a rockstar. And that kind of music is something unique of her. She might show this colour in future releases. LISA'S VERSATILITY - Lisa in this song shows that she isn't just for the verses and we should stay tuned for more Lisa's soft vocal highlights in BP's discography. Not having a single theme for the MV - Eventhough the edit was uniform throughout the MV, it shows that BP's MV could showcase different genre and style. Be it eastern or western vibes. Overall, #PINKVENOM shows that #Blackpink has so much more to show as a group and as soloists without compromising their unique identity. Its a PRELEASE and for me it serves its purpose.

Okay, in my honest opinion, it kinda does sound the same as their other songs not with the sound itself but with the structure. A BP title track usually has this sort of structure in this particular order: -lisa/jennie rap > rosé/jisoo/ in the pre-chorus > catchy chorus with minimal lyrics> jennie/lisa rap but with a switch-up, jisoo/rosé again, chorus, bridge of the song, then a beat drop/dance break for the ending. Of course the song is great, but how many times is YG going to recycle the same structure, and actually experiment new structures and sounds? It's obvious blinks will still eat it up. Lovesick girls and as if it's your last are two of my favorite songs from them, especially lovesick girls, because it was something that really was a little different, more meaningful, and catchy and addictive without adding random beat drops or trending dances

I thought they were sh*tting me saying they were preparing for TWO years almost for THIS. Honestly I think they woke up half year before this comeback date and just picked whatever song Teddy wrote (it might have been in his storage for years, or written literally in seconds on their knees) and quickly remastered some known beats. But I must admit when I first saw geomungo instrument in a teaser I thought and hoped it is finally something new for them...but...it was again just a hype for a literally seconds in a song

I'm sorry i tried to like it i really did. The intro is actually fire, the rap is really cool and I don't care if the lyrics make sense or not. But that chorus...what was that. They usually do drops and have a bit of empty choruses but they are usually catchy...And this i's not even catchy FOR ME. The vocal parts on their own are okay but why do i feel like they are out of place in the song? They feel like they don't fit in with rap and instrumental and they didn't really stood out to me. And i felt like there were really few vocal part overall. The dance break looked great....but what the fuck was that ratatatatatata that lasted so long? They look absolutely stunning as always but also the mv didn't really hit m3 tbf. It was good and high quality but nothing stood out to me, there was not a scene that i could say "oh shit this frame is iconic". But it's just MY opinion. I'm happy if people enjoyed it

I loved their looks , the production of video but i just didn't like the audio and coming from one the biggest group it doesn't sound like of their Calibre. Like after two yrs the video is a banger the audio is just average, smth new can be heard and enjoyed but i am not searching this to hear it but to watch it.
I personally have a mixed reaction. I have some positive and some negative things about it. I really enjoyed the rap part with Jennie and Lisa and its really their style, my favourite part of the song is the Latata part before the ending, it gives a bold vibe to it. And the MV is definitely the best by far compared to their other songs. The thing i dont really like is how the instrumental doesnt go with Rose's and Jisoos vocals, the instrumental is a strong bold sound while Rose and Jisoo are singing peacefully which i dont think goes well with the song. It gives me the vibes of those tik tok videos where they put a song but with a different instrumental so it sounds weird (for example if you dont understand putting BPs Kill this love vocals but the instrumental of Twice's What is love). I personally dont like The choreos. Those are the things i dont really like but the songs good and is definitely gonna grow on me

I think everything is perfecto... But since it's named pink venom,, the production team should've brought something related to snake or venom or pink venom,,, that would've made the mv go up... Yg literally thought that if they release the music very rarely,, they can bring massive hype and gain more success, that's their strategy ,but this time it failed, I didn't see that hype here and it dono if it can break the HYLT views in 24 hours that was released 2 years before.... Even after two years I didn't see any increase in hype going on.. so it's a lesson for yg that they should give their groups comebacks often.

I just watched the MV for the first time and...maybe it's because I'm tired as I just got off work but I really feel like they (the producers/composers) dropped the ball here. I'm not entirely sure what I was expecting but this isn't it. It sounds like another recycled song with lacking lyrical composition and pure noise. My honest opinion - Tbh I didn't really like the song ..... And it felt like the wait of 2 years was just not worth it, I really had a whole lot of expectations from the girls with this comeback but it didn't please me as their other comebacks the lyrics just sounded meaningless to me ..... When I heard the teaser, I was really looking forward to it. But when the song dropped, I was a bit unhappy. Now song wise, this sounded nothing like their other title tracks which was great! But did it sound good to me? No. I didn't quite like it mainly because I think the vocal parts were off and the chorus was overall disappointing. I also didn't like how they were continuously switching from English to Korean. Not saying that's bad since a lot of groups have English in their songs, but to me it sounded a bit messy. Talking about the MV, instrumental and visuals; they were all amazing. No complaints about that. YG always gives us great, high-quality MVs and this was not an exception. But towards the end, I could only think about how similar it is to How You Like That MV. Even the concept pictures reminded me so much of hylt. JenLisa's rap was the highlight for me. This seemed like a rap focused song which is why I didn't like the vocal parts a lot. It's a good song overall, but not the best out there. I give it a 6.5/10.

Tbh, this is the most fair line and screen distribution. Yes, JenLisa has most lines but they were repetitive. I love how CheaSoo vocal shined. Jisoo as Visual had screen time. The laid back subtle chorus is just perfect for me because it's different from what we're used to which is the hard slapping choruses. So for a pre-release single, this is still awesome. Remember, they have a whole album to release, that's what you have to look out for.

Hear me out. In my opinion, this is the perfect example of a PRE-RELEASE. It shows what the group is capable of and what they are trying to achieve as a group. The mix of sounds from korean sounds to hip-hop to lovely k-pop vibes they show it all. They serve us the things they can do in the upcoming album and in the future.
Korean instrument - shows that BP, eventhough the biggest GG in the planet, is not detaching themselves to their Korean roots and chose to represent its pop culture to the world.
JENNIE HAS THE STRONGEST RAP VERSES -shows that Jennie could show more of her rap in the future, be it hip-hop or girl crush. She might drop a mix-tape or a new rap track if she got some demo by now.
JISOO'S VOCAL HIGHLIGHTED - Pink Venom is hinting that Jisoo is getting her solo soon. The song highlighted her range esp. in the bridge.
ROSE'S ROCK VIBE - Rose in this release showed her true self, she's a rockstar. And that kind of music is something unique of her. She might show this colour in future releases.

Okay, in my honest opinion, it kinda does sound the same as their other songs not with the sound itself but with the structure. A BP title track usually has this sort of structure in this particular order:
-lisa/jennie rap > rosé/jisoo/ in the pre-chorus > catchy chorus with minimal lyrics> jennie/lisa rap but with a switch-up, jisoo/rosé again, chorus, bridge of the song, then a beat drop/dance break for the ending.
Of course the song is great, but how many times is YG going to recycle the same structure, and actually experiment new structures and sounds? It's obvious blinks will still eat it up. Lovesick girls and as if it's your last are two of my favorite songs from them, especially lovesick girls, because it was something that really was a little different, more meaningful, and catchy and addictive without adding random beat drops or trending dances

Honestly I think they woke up half year before this comeback date and just picked whatever song Teddy wrote (it might have been in his storage for years, or written literally in seconds on their knees) and quickly remastered some known beats. I'm sorry i tried to like it i really did. The intro is actually fire, the rap is really cool and I don't care if the lyrics make sense or not. But that chorus...what was that. They usually do drops and have a bit of empty choruses but they are usually catchy...And this i's not even catchy FOR ME.

I personally have a mixed reaction. I have some positive and some negative things about it. I really enjoyed the rap part with Jennie and Lisa and its really their style, my favourite part of the song is the Latata part before the ending, it gives a bold vibe to it. And the MV is definitely the best by far compared to their other songs. The thing i dont really like is how the instrumental doesnt go with Rose's and Jisoos vocals, the instrumental is a strong bold sound while Rose and Jisoo are singing peacefully which i dont think goes well with the song. It gives me the vibes of those tik tok videos where they put a song but with a different instrumental so it sounds weird (for example if you dont understand putting BPs Kill this love vocals but the instrumental of Twice's What is love). I personally dont like The choreos. Those are the things i dont really like but the songs good and is definitely gonna grow on me

PINK VENOM IS A BOP PERIODT. the song is unique because it’s different from their usual style yet it still has elements of their past music which i really appreciate. it’s like a throwback to their previous songs which can be seen in pink venom’s similar visuals to KTL. Pink venom had the same vibes as that of 'How you like that'. Almost all the blackpink songs have the same genre. It kinda feels boring but still the songs are bop. Even though they are eerily similar but they are addictive. I hope they come up with more genres.

Personally, I love their comebacks. After 2 years of waiting it was paid off and worth it. This song is hard to reach out people because it's a different taste compared to their old songs. People were expecting too much, because I think they were multifandoms and into so many group genres. But all opinions are matters right? ;)
At campus, our lectures from music department even held a webinar to discuss about their new song, and even the non K-Fans are getting addicted into it.
I see so many people complaining about the chorus “it was anti climactic” and stuff like that. Like….. duh? That’s the point. It’s an anti drop. Also people saying “they’re all the same songs”. They have a signature sound, that’s why you can immediately tell that the song is blackpink‘s. The song has a similar sound but is still fresh and new.
It isn’t my favourite song of theirs, but music, as an art form, is subjective. Some people will like it, some won’t. Everybody has different opinions, and no opinion is wrong or right.

I think Blackpink reached their peek around Kill this love, hylt could keep the level, ICE cream went down, Lovesick girls was forgetable and this is the most terrible thing they ever did. Nothing unique, nothing new, shitty lyrics "ratata" really? Again? I think they run out of lines. The "wannabe cool" image was rather funny than badass. Another basement mv with some flowers. Old lyrics used again, old choreos used again. Same order of members singing. Boring forgetable chorus. What is pink Venom? I mean why pink? When there's only black "venom" in the mv. The rap parts were cringey and just bad and plain. Idk but Jennie's opening was just underwhelming. Rock and Roll Rosé didn't make any sense. I thought Lisa left her bangs in this comeback but I see she find it in the basement.
It's just bad. Even Rosé or Jisoo's vocals couldn't saves it. I think they hated this song cause it's smells like forced. They did this song to just shut blinks mouth and now they can go back America or idk where. It's their down hill. I think they could get great views or streams but they lost themselves as idols or blackpink. This song sounded like a rookie groups first ever debut song where they wanted so much things to put in, but at the end it was just a chaotic mess.

it's good, I mean not a first hear kind of addicting type of song but as what most people said it's different. it's neutral for me. maybe it'll grew on me like their other songs and it's a pre-release single so I guess I'll hope that their title track is 2 years worth of waiting.
People are being disappointed over the chorus... After Jisoo's Bridge when I expected an explosive chorus I got something far beyond my expectations and I honestly loved that. It is stuck in my head.
I think pink venom had too many sets and we don't get enough time to appreciate the set. I think it is because the camera movement is soo fast. I would love to see behind the scene videos to appreciate the beauty of sets.
I just watched the MV for the first time and...maybe it's because I'm tired as I just got off work but I really feel like they (the producers/composers) dropped the ball here. I'm not entirely sure what I was expecting but this isn't it. It sounds like another recycled song with lacking lyrical composition and pure noise. Idk, these days Kpop is turning into a phase for me. I used to enjoy the musical aspects of it and then it turned into a whole fan war, from that it turned into intolerance and toxic xenophobia, then it just turned into repetitive nonsense with all groups trying to out do one another with the same song, different delivery, same style, different vibe. Let be very honest, this song is average for me. I actually disappointed, lyrics were bad but some part especially rap was good . Yg mistreated Jisso and Rosé . They have least lines than Jennie and Lisa. If they are making Group mv they should focus to shine them equally. Many people nowadays never appreciate vocalist. They should be respected. I will give 6/10.

Tbh I didn't really like the song ..... And it felt like the wait of 2 years was just not worth it, I really had a whole lot of expectations from the girls with this comeback but it didn't please me as their other comebacks the lyrics just sounded meaningless to me .....
No hate to BP I know all of them give their 110% for all their works and I have to admit that I AM just strangely addicted to the chorus ( though I find it's lyrics just meaningless but the beats are just awesome) but overall the song didn't appeal me as I thought it would

I think this is the perfect song to comeback. Just look at how popular it is. Whether you like it or not, majority of people like it and that's what's important
When I heard the teaser, I was really looking forward to it. But when the song dropped, I was a bit unhappy. Now song wise, this sounded nothing like their other title tracks which was great! But did it sound good to me? No. I didn't quite like it mainly because I think the vocal parts were off and the chorus was overall disappointing. I also didn't like how they were continuously switching from English to Korean. Not saying that's bad since a lot of groups have English in their songs, but to me it sounded a bit messy. Talking about the MV, instrumental and visuals; they were all amazing. No complaints about that. YG always gives us great, high-quality MVs and this was not an exception. But towards the end, I could only think about how similar it is to How You Like That MV. Even the concept pictures reminded me so much of hylt.
JenLisa's rap was the highlight for me. This seemed like a rap focused song which is why I didn't like the vocal parts a lot. It's a good song overall, but not the best out there. I give it a 6.5/10.
