GOW 2018 isn’t a Soulsborne game, it’s a spectacle fighter. Dark Souls is an ARPG. They are different genres. It’s a bit like saying Mario Kart ruined Gran Turismo for him. Like I kind of get it since they’re both racing games, but if you go in to Gran Turismo expecting a kart game you’re gonna be disappointed.
Th first PS5 game I picked up is Rise of the Ronin. It's an excellent game, don't let the critics online says it looks like a PS3 game, the graphics are not a bad as they made out to be. Don't know where all the hate came from. It mostly runs at a consistent 60fps and I just love the open world. Critics complain the open world reminds them of Ubisoft open world but it's not a bad thing if they got it right. If you love the Japanese Bakumatsu era, this is the game for you. It's basically Samurai X/ Rurouni Kenshin simulator with great gameplay. The second one I got is Alone in the Dark, it's very atmospheric and does the original game justice but buyers beware, the physical copy version 1.0 is a quite buggy and can break your save game if you're not careful. The patch is also a whooping 28GB. It's not as buggy as Cyberpunk on launch but still... publishers shouldn't push out an unfinished game on physical. The last game I got was Dragon's Dogma 2. This game is so addictive and I'm on my second playthrough trying to complete the missions I'd missed the first time round. This alongside Rise of the Ronin is a must play for this year's line up of video games. I can confirm both games works and play well without patches.
Playstation was certainly an RPG powerhouse, as my modified mini can prove. Even played a little Rhapsody. Now that Blade Runner on PS4 looks almost as slick as Xeno Crisis on N64. I have Blade Runner, on the PC. Played it way back when it first came out. I got the enhanced version of GOG for half price (since I already bought the original) just so I can use it with a controller. Still haven't gotten around to playing it. Nothing strange there, not when it took me ten years to get around to playing Tales of Phantasia on the GBA, which is the first out of six or seven copies I have of it now.
Reggie , Awesome games! , great humor from your buddy , I'm agree about God of childcare with the boy in puzzles, but I can deal with it , but on Ragnarok get much worse , almost annoying and unbearable. I'm totally agree , I played first Dark souls and my expectations gets high since then.
I agree 100% on god of war I mean obviously it's a technical marvel and I appreciate it tries to tell the relationship between father and son but the way it does it is sooo lame... kratos is a serial killer super alpha psycho dad and the son super annoying... and it is true FROM completely raised the bar for 3rd person action games
