- In this video, we'll share eight tips to help you create a clean and uniform lash set. These tips will help you create natural-looking and long-lasting lashes that your clients will love.
Tip 1: Choose the Right Diameter and Dimension
The right trick to a clean-looking lash set is to select a product diameter and dimension that has a base that sits snugly against the natural lash. The edges of your lashes shouldn't be too far over one side or the other.
Tip 2: Place Your Extension in the Middle of the Natural Lash
The lash will look floppy if you place a part of the base on one side and not the other or if it's not balanced. Symmetry is key.
Tip 3: Utilize the Right Extension Curls for the Right Natural Lashes
This can make your set look like it was designed specifically for each client, and it just looks so clean and intentional.
Tip 4: Avoid Sporadic Top Layer Lashes
Every client has what we call "Rogue lashes"- these lashes that don't necessarily fit into any cohesive layer. Unfortunately, when they're stiff, staggered, or just one or two sit higher along the top lash line, they can stand out in a bad way.
Tip 5: When Working with Thick Bases, Place Underneath or on Top of the Natural Lash
If you're working with classic lashes or a lash band volume fan with thick bases, try your best to place the extension underneath or on top of the natural lash so you have more of the natural lash to cover the base. This will help create a more natural-looking lash set.
Tip 6: Have a Directional Plan
Many times, you might have notice little gaps in your lashes and wonder what caused them. That is often because the lash artist didn't have a directional plan in the mind before starting.
Tip 7: Choose the Right Style for Your Clients
For example, if you have a client with very heavy eyelids or hooded eyes, you might want to work with something like a straighter lash.
Tip 8: Cover the Entire Bottom Layer
It doesn't matter how much of the set you have finished. If you cover 100% of the bottom layer, your client will look at their lashes and be happy with the fullness.
We hope these tips help you create beautiful and long-lasting lash sets!

Gorgeous as always. You are the most helpful lash content creator hands down! I truly appreciate you, thank you!❤❤❤
So sweet that means so much to me!! Thank you❤❤ Appreciate your support!!
Thank you for this. I normally was taught to use a 0.15mm for classics, I've never used anything other than that. So I guess I'll try using the 0.12mm as well.

Unrelated, but could we possibly get a hair tutorial? This braid/bun style is too cute!!
Definitely!! On it!!! You’re not the only person to ask!
I’m having trouble understanding placing the lash extension. Do you put the lash extension directly on top of the natural lash? How do you determine if it needs to go to the left or to the right of the natural lash ?
Great question ❤ Lets say for example the directional pattern you chose for your client is directing all your extensions out towards the ear, and you stumble upon a natural lash that directs inwards towards the nose. In order to re direct it you will want to place the extension on the opposite side of the natural lash. This may only mean you will get 1-2mm of contact between the extension and that natural lash but as long as the base is flush you can still achieve great retention! Reach out to us over DM on Instagram @lostartistrylash if you would like to see videos on redirection. We have some that we can send over to you! ❤
When you will have training for Europe?
