One of my favorite things about the SMW romhack community is the direct association of the cruelty of a kaizo trick or section to its creator. It's not 'fu¢k you, Invictus!', it's 'fu¢k you, Juz!' Really shows off how well the community knows itself. I love that!
BTW: I hope this kind of video becomes a thing that creators do now. Brilliant idea that's good for the hack and the players!

You can see Poo's spidey senses tingling when he got to the jump immediately assuming there to be a kaizo block and rationalizing that there couldn't be one. The description for the game stated there weren't any and true to its word, there hadn't been one up to that point.

You know it is a great hack when all of the cries of "NOOOOOO!" and the curses are accompanied by laughter. This feels enjoyable to play just by feeling it through the streamers' reactions. 3 years old, and this is still one of the most entertaining SMW hacks; it is an absolute joy to watch. 2022 could really use something like this please.

Well I didn't plan on watching this entire video in one sitting but here we are.
I love how so many people avoided the charging murderblock in the Red Switch Palace only to fail the shell jump.

I didn't even know about 70% of these runners before watching this, but by the end of the video I was super happy for all of them when they finally cleared it. Time to add a bunch of Twitch follows.

I love the reaction to the Kaizo Block. You were technically telling the truth because there were no hidden blocks plural but there was one hidden block singular. For your next hack you need to say there are three invisible blocks in the entire game, the first two are Kaizo Blocks but the third is very hidden so they'll be on edge waiting for the third block to get them.
Nah, I think it'd detract from the experience. If they spend the whole game waiting for a kaizo block they'll never find, it won't be some "OH MY GOD" moment, it'll just be like "oh, okay, I guess I must've just accidentially avoided the third one." The only way anybody would even notice that the third one was hidden is if somebody specifically told them, and even then it'd just be an underwhelming moment. The game would definitely just be worse if that gag specifically was included. If another one was thought of it might work, but I'm not sure another hidden block gag is what is needed.

I'm impressed at how much more playable of a Kaizo this feels because of the quick deaths/reload even if the checkpoints aren't always that nice.

A lot of super nice guys on here. They all knew and saw every single trap coming and still let themselves die to them just to entertain us.
I used to watch a lot of Mario World Kaizo compilations, GDQ runs and streams and moved on to other things. Watching these comps is like catching up with old friends.
This must be the new top selling Horror game. You have 'em all afraid to make another step, weeping and crying, just like the classics.

Because literaly everywhere in the english streaming community you can hear "fucking" punctuating every and each sentence, it's like a disease that no one can get rid off :/ And it's mostly an english, or I'd rather say a non-french (because I can't say for other languages) habit to swear *that* often ! Well that's just my thought on this lol
I don't watch that much Juz, I watch primarily GrandPooBear. And when Dode puts on a video I watch it. From time to time I look at channels like Juz's, Ryukahr's, Panga's, Barb's... and that's it :) And to me Dode is the best ^^

I must say it's nice that Dode has a PG stream so at least someone in the kaizo community can watch if they're parents are watching or whatever. Though for Dode to take that upon himself isn't anything he needs to do, nor maybe should.
Dodes skill is undeniable at this point. But I prefer to watch other streamers like poo, Carl, ryu, and barb.

I just finished watching dode's run at GDQ where the man runs it like a machine so it's a nice contrast to come into this video and see the pain, joy and discovery of everyone doing this blind.

And he was the only one to out the P-Switch(es) on top of the big Switch, which would unintentionally avoid the troll even if the yump failed (which of course never happens to Dode xD)

... I wish it was so much longer! I think the best reaction was Poo's reaction to the hidden kaizo block, especially when he was talking about there being no Kaizo blocks before. There seemed to be a bit of bitterness about it... But I think it was a brilliant troll.
I wish I didn't suck at Mario, as it looks like there was so much time, thought and dedication put into this hack. Fantastic job on the hack, and this video!

The best thing about that kaizo block is how almost none of them actually expected it, despite the years of being trained by hacks to know that's the perfect spot for one.
This is my first time rewatching since watching the evil Carl/D4 SMB1 romhack compilation. And now I understand the very ending bit with Dode going in the pipe that many times.
The level of salt in this video... it pleases me.

Love how you broke game physics multiple times. Also like the cool custom controls. Was confused at first as to how people were spin jumping in midair, but got it later. Would try if I wasn't a total scrub who cant get past forest of illusion.

It's so crazy seeing some of the best creators playing a difficult game. Like you Panga, GPB, Barb, etc, you guys make some of the hardest Mario Maker 2 levels ever and seeing you struggle playing somebody else's difficult levels it's honestly settling. All of you players have such a respect of the game. It's invigorating to see you Legends play these games. Great job Juz!

Everytime I see people die to the thwomp at the end of Plumber's Nightmare my only thought is "You learned NOTHING from this game."
So few realize the wonderful design the fake falling spike ceiling provides. As it teaches you for the stage to "rush forward". Then if you don't rush forward on the thwomp you die.

It has incredible gimmicks, lots of creativity in every single level, beautiful and well made level design, and of course, the trolls! It truly shows the potential of trolling with SMW (which is something i'm definitely looking forward, ever since CarlSagan42 started the SMM troll contest!)

Invictus has aged so well, it is one of the best hacks out there, and even the hot garbage it has is amazingly good.

I remember watching PooBear's original upload of his playthrough. I laughed for a good 10 minutes at that kaizo block. Schadenfreude at it's best.
