Doug really beat the entire game, decided to fuck around and play a super expert level, actually beat the super expert level, restarted the entire world, helped his rival beat him, forcefully made his rival quit the game and then beat the game himself in first place.

He is a great showman, if you haven't look at how he sets up challenges and changes them during the streams. He will always nerf himself to ensure he doesn't win and that chat has the most memeable time.

I absolutely love that Doug closed Lud's game in order to secure the win.
After getting to the last lvl and restarting. Plus beating an extra random super expert lvl in between. Plus he beat one of Ludwig’s lvls for him. And yet he still made it extremely close even without him having to close Luds game.
Doug was just flexing.

The first level reveal of "A Singular Shell Jump" was such a called shot that paid off so well.

I love this lineup, but the history between DougDoug and Jacob’s Mario Maker world (his second one?) makes it even better. Doug had the Alpharad Twitch channel (off stream) bouncing around like a DVD screensaver while playing. Jacob got to like a level 17 hype train before going live. Jacob gave Doug the inspirational speech Doug needed to beat the game
That was the stream that made me realize that Doug is actually really good at 2D platformers.

It went exactly as you expect (It was a 3v1 btw)
Lapping was actually a really smart idea for Doug, because not only was it a power move, but he lost a lot of lives on the final level. Lapping gave him a lot more lives then he would've had at the end if he went in with the first lap.

i think he took lud's controller when he closed the game but tbh he deserved to win after everything so who cares (plus there's no reward for winning its all for the content so that more people donate)
