@@Bigpawpa there's a Moroccan Maliki scholar (Sheikh Azraq) who wrote a book in agreement to muta'h but recieved a lot of backlash because its "prostitution". Muta'h is a marraige exact same rules apply, but it is temporary because its flexible like in a normal marriage where you have the choice to divorce. Protustion is intercourse, with a malicious intent, why would you equate the two things? Why do sunnis permit misyar which is worse then muta'h. concubinage in islam was a huge thing as well yet, muta'h was bad bad BAD.

"Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade mut’ah marriage and the meat of domestic donkeys at the time of Khaybar. According to another report, he forbade mut’ah marriage at the time of Khaybar and he forbade the meat of tame donkeys. (Narrated by al-Bukhari, 3979; Muslim, 1407)
If a hadith contradicts quran, it is to be rejected, the hadith contradicts 4:24 in Quran, so it is a fabricated hadith.

O liar The Messanger of Allah Rasulullah SAW had prohibited it completely.

This hadith is also in the main shia book of hadith by sheikh tusi, al istibsar and tahdhib al ahkam

Just because it is halal does not mean that it is something which is encouraged.
It doesn't matter if he approves or not. The question is whether it's permitted. The answer being "yes, it is".
Islam isn't a religion based on what you want and don't want. Islam is is a religion based on rationality; logic. It's understandable that some people are gonna fornicate if they don't have the means to marry (or whatever their reasons may be). Yet fornication is impermissible. Therefore it's it's logical to form a temporary marriage to proceed with your needs.

I am Shia, and I am not an scholar, but I do not agree with the commentary of the aya as no where in the translation it says one can enter temporary marriage for a certain time period. The translation just reads who one can and cannot marry and one should enter marriage and prior to that certain requirements such as dowry needs to be fulfilled, with an intention to be chaste and not unlawful sexual act.
Again I am not an scholar but clearly Quran 24:33 contradicts with the commentary version of the aya expanding on temporary marriage.
The commentators have a myriad of difference of opinions on some of the ayas. They are doing their best based on their knowledge, so YOU as a Muslim should also use your best judgment.
“And those who cannot afford marriage should keep themselves chaste until Allah enriches them out of His grace 24:33 Quraan”
As for those in comment section harassing the speaker and Shias as whole, he is simply stating something that is controversial among Shias themselves let alone the Sunnis. So do yourself a favor and use your best judgment with the Quraan being the first source. Stop venting on someones platform just because they are from a different sect of Islam. People here are commenting out of emotions and asking whether someone likes Nikah of Muta for his sister or daughter? When you let your sister or daughter get married you allow their partners to develop sexual relationship with them. Why don't you get angry on that occasion? I want to ask every sunni, would you encourage ur susters and daughters to do fornication and adultery? Muta is not the encouraged way to marry, we agree on that. But in certain circumstances in life, when permanent marriage is difficult, how are you going to resist your human desires and instincts. Why do we have so many muslims committing zina or touching or watching haram, when Allah has gave us so many solutions? Again its not encouraged for everyone, but in special circumstances its an option. And if you dont understand the difference between zina and muta, they are not even comparable, go and educate yourself about the rules of it before speaking.

Most of the negative comments are along the lines of: “would you like your daughter or your sister to engage in mutah?” The answer is of course, we much prefer them to engage in nikah. However, many of our Muslim sisters and daughters date men, whether in the West or otherwise. In these situations, mutah is the preferable and halal alternative to the horrible sin of zinnah. If your sisters and daughters are chaste, Mashallah that is excellent. Alhamdulillah. But not all Muslim women and men are chaste.
Similarly, are Muslim men allowed to have more than one wife? Would you like your sister or daughter to be someone’s fourth wife? Does your preference make it haram? For most of the community, we hope and pray for one man and one woman to live together in harmony, permanently, with healthy and happy Muslim children. That is best, but not always how it turns out.
Brother, just ask them if they would like their daughter or sister to engage in Misyar; it's the same thing. They made a loophole where it wasn't needed. Even Talaq Talaq Talaq being abused is something they're okay with.

Whoever performs Mut’ah once will attain the status of Hussain. Whoever performs it twice will attain the status of Hassan. Whoever performs it thrice will attain the status of ‘Ali radiya Llahu ‘anhu and whoever will perform it four times will attain my status (i.e. of Rasulullah salla Llahu ‘alayhi wa sallam).

@@Anarchist369 this is true, but was only for Khaybar. It was allowed again after Khaybar, then forbidden again during the Fat-h of Makkah. Then it was allowed after that. This is evidenced by the fact that many Sahabah continued to allow mut'ah after the Prophet's (a) death, for example, Ibn Abbas.

Among the fundamental beliefs of Islam is that even the greatest saint, ‘alim or friend of Allah cannot attain the status of even the lowest ranking Sahabi, let alone reaching the status of Rasulullah salla Llahu ‘alayhi wa sallam. However, the Shia believe that performing this vile act not only allows one to attain the status of the Ahlul Bayt but also the status of Rasulullah salla Llahu ‘alayhi wa sallam. We seek Allah’s forgiveness.

Whoever performs Mut’ah once will be saved from the anger of Allah. Whoever performs it twice will be resurrected with the pious and whoever performs it thrice will be with me in Jannat.[1]
This narration guarantees the perpetrator of Mut’ah safety from the anger of Allah, company of the pious in the hereafter and residing with Rasul of Allah salla Llahu ‘alayhi wa sallam in Jannat.
