Euro 2024: England drawn with Denmark; Scotland will face Germany in opening game

England will face Denmark, Slovenia and Serbia in their Euro 2024 group next summer while Scotland will kick off the tournament against holders Germany on June 14.
Gareth Southgate's side face a replay of their Euro 2020 semi-final against the Danes in Group C, having won 2-1 after extra-time in July 2021 before eventually losing to Italy in the final.
Scotland face a tough test against the hosts, with perennial qualifiers Switzerland and Hungary, who reached the knock-out stages in 2016, also in Group A.
Euro 2024 draw in full:
Group A - Germany, Scotland, Hungary, Switzerland
Group B - Spain, Croatia, Italy, Albania
Group C - Slovenia, Denmark, Serbia, England
Group D - Play-off winner A (Wales), Netherlands, Austria, France
Group E - Belgium, Slovakia, Romania, Play-off winner B
Group F - Turkey, Play-off winner C, Portugal, Czech Republic

FIFA/UEFA need to have a shake-up of their rankings.... once again, Belgium have an easy group, they'll win said group and retain their high ranking, then they'll get drawn in an easy qualifying group for the next competition, and the cycle continues! There's a group with Spain, Italy, Croatia and Albania... Another with France Netherlands and Austria... while Belgium get Romania, Slovakia and one of Bosnia, Ukraine, Israel or Iceland!

Denmark (who are in the group)
Croatia (who England beat in last two fixtures)
Italy (who England beat twice in qualifying)

@@LLMAXGhighest ranked only because they were from weaker confederations. England's group was one of the weakest at the WC, easily proven by how America was clearly better than Iran (3rd place in the group) and still got demolished by the Netherlands with ease in the round of 16...
The only 2 groups that were easier than England's were maybe France's (with Denmark, Tunisia and Australia) and Group A, which had Qatar in it... Literally all the other groups were more challenging for the pot 1 team and had more quality sides! England got no South American or African teams, (or Japan, which is really the only top team not from Europe, Africa or SA) plus the weakest Euro team that made it to the tournament, Wales! 😂
