- Solitude Mountain Resort, Utah. WHAT A PLACE! The ski lifts unfortunately only run on the weekends so we had to hike up to tee one. Nice little walk up to 9000 feet! But once you’ve reached the first hole, it's pure magic from there. Yes, you might lose a disc or two but hey. Worth it! Thanks to Jeff Spring for joining. He's the main guy behind the scenes of the pro tour and is responsible for a lot of the positive changes to the tour! What a guy!!
Here's the full video of Eagle's crazy shot - • Eagle McMahon throws f...

Simon: *Doesn't play disc golf during vacation*
Me: *Plans vacations around disc golf courses*
Same. I've been to all of the best courses East of the Miss.
@@tybarnes895 what are your top 5 favorite?
@@tilL_I_AM_Famous I tend to prefer picturesque courses, and courses that don't have a chance of crossing fairways or walking paths (so I will definitely visit this course). Fox Run Meadows is #1. Ed Headrick, Maple Hills, Harmony Bends, and Brewster Ridge are all after that. I should say that I haven't played courses in MI, but I'm fixing that later this month. Maine courses are rated highly, and so are FL courses, but they're both pretty much, seen one course, seen every regional course. Courses in the Appalachia areas are really scenic, but often poorly laid out.
@@tybarnes895 I just updated my wish list! Haha I went to one at Tampa and it was awesome. I love my MA courses, but making a trip for some cool scenes is what it’s all about! Thank you for the list.
@@tilL_I_AM_Famous Nice. If you go up into Vermont, then I would also recommend Black Hills. If you go up into Maine, my favorite course was Augusta Disc Golf. Down in Florida, the only course that is really unique is New World outside of Jacksonville! Have fun!
Jeff is superb for the DGPT, the tour is in good hands
the problem is pdga
Let Paul McBeth be in charge.
Exactly. Jeff sounds just like Heavy D from Diesel Brothers, sounds just like him
Simons definitely my favorite pro disc golfer. He’s always so positive and always tells new and even experienced players to make sure to have fun with the game. It’s not all about earning money from playing. Also is very good at the sport might not be the best but still up there in the ranks and is always humble
Thank you for posting my shot Simon✊ I'm a big fan!
That was a pretty wild shot. Well done.
Sooo sick dude!!
Thank you for also posting my shot.
I’m the one who actually threw in that ace, not this phony
Dude seems super humble for having the disc golf world on his shoulders
He is a good dude...but the " disc golf world on his shoulders " part is highly debatable ...:)
7:55 "why can't I just make putts?" Only Simon would consider it a putt while standing in circle 4! 😆
Lol yeah
I was really hoping for, Shot of the Day - James Conrad
Simon!! Blur out Joey’s number at 9:00, so he doesn’t get harassed by the internet people!
MN #, ayyyy shout out Twin Cities
Free promotion I’d be honored
@@TmoneyProductions Promotion of what? Also, it's a honor until some random stranger harasses you.
I’m going to harass Joey just because you gave me the idea!
This is a good callout, I sent this to the email address Simon plugged shortly after the Joey shoutout just in case he misses it here
Simon: "Why can't I make putts?"
Eagle: "Maybe you're afraid of life."
😂😂😂😂 good one
Love that quote
Simon so smooth. "and the view is nice" pans over to his gf. haha 😄
And the mountain scenery ain't bad either..hey O.
Fiancé *
"almost canned it" im dead
*with the most cheese ball grin on his face haha
I like your profile pic.
“And he’s a happy man in the woods.” I think I now fully understand my love for the game. Thanks Jeff and Simon.
This is so calming. Love from Finland
Why can't I just make putts?
That's not a put, it's a throw in! Don't be so hard on yourself, you're one of the best disc golfers ever. Keep it up and rock on. Cheers mate. 🍻❤
So glad I got to see you in person for the first time at Worlds! Glad you're enjoying the mountains of Utah!
Jeff is good people, love having him on the blog, thanks Simon!!!
Love. Love this course! The hike up to it is great!!
That is such a beautiful place. Wo. Nice to get a peek at it with Simon and friends.
Excellent showcasing Jeff...thanks
One of my favorite courses! Fun to see it on your channel.
Thanks for taking time out of your vacation to show off this course! Enjoy!
Took me back to the good old days playing Aspen mountain. Great video.
Ive played football/hockey since very young age but I have to admit discgolf has the best community without a doubt. Everyone is so friendly, love the video Simon. As usual!
So freaking glad someone told you to play that course! It's the best one we got in Utah besides Base Camp in Moab. We just played Solitude on Saturday!
Simon, thanks for being so cool to the fans at worlds!
Great course! Glad you got up to play it!
This sparks joy.
"...through a magical Birch park/trail." 🙄 Those are Aspen groves, Simon😂
Yea they are I thought I was the only one that noticed you can tell they are aspens because of the way they are.
Lol, I'm not the only know it all who noticed.
@@dylanfernandez2022you can tell they are aspens because of the way they are
@@dylanfernandez2022 I worked up at Solitude 5 yrs. (ski-bumming). I've hiked all through there, but never golfed it once 😂. Now I'm hooked on disc-golf for about 2 yrs. Need to get back out there to give it a try.
Beautiful course! Quite the hike before your first throw. Great job with the camera.
Just got to play this course today after moving out here and had to revisit this!
Yes, I'm so glad to see this. I play this course weekly during the summer and there's not a more fun course then soli.
It’s about time you put out another vlog!!! 😍
What an amazing course and place to play disc golf!
Loved this video. What a much better and more interesting course than the Worlds courses.
Got Simon's ol' Herby Hancock at worlds. Nice nice dude, a line a mile long and 100°. Thanks for being so fan friendly and taking the time out.
This course reminds me of my childhood back in the late 60's and throughout the 70's. I grew up exploring the Apostle Islands on Lake Superior with my family [using a 26' cabin cruiser] when it was still mostly uncommercialized. The unspoiled views and total connection to nature was a large part of my childhood! Oh to breathe in that pure, aromatic and soothing air again!...It would be Bliss!
This is such a ridiculously fun course. So happy the baskets are back in this summer.
wow, great content! That little trickshot at the end was really nuts too! O.o
Gotta add this course to the bucket list
I film all my blogs on my iPhone and the quality is great. All about that preset export setting! Love your blogs Simon, you da man.
Man I love your videos!
The video coverage is fantastic.
Fun to watch guys. Good job. More ski hills should build mountain courses.
Awesome content as usual!
Absolutely loved this video even before the disc golf started. Looks like a 10/10 afternoon Simon and company! I have always hoped to run into you fellas on the course some day, and still hope it happens. Until then, Stay great.
p.s. I think that would probably be an Aspen grove of trees you were walking through. Do yourself a favor and return to that course in late September/ early October when the Utah sky is deep blue and those Aspens are vivid yellow. You won't regret it ;-)
Looks incredible!
Adding it to my wishlist
First time live coverage was awesome and the standard is no lesser than espn or starsports … switching camera angles and replay during live is nota game … u guys did great job
Love your content Simon! Swing by North East Mississippi sometime to get your state ace here!
You need to be getting some tour vlogs in man! But it's awesome Natalia joined and helped film
One of the best courses ever! If anyone is ever in Utah it is a must play!!
I love solitude. Such a hard yet fun course
Love this course
Played that course to years ago. So much fun!!!
Thanks for the content!
Simon you are great adventurer and awesome player!
So, Jeff shreds!!
I love playing this course.
It's summer now S! Let's see a beer-shug round. One hole one beer!
Went to solitude almost every day in 2015 when I was working in Utah, it's an awesome course!
Sadly that’s not the first time i’ve heard Simon say “I barely threw that and it went 500 feet”
I almost canned it… I laughed a little to hard at that 😂
Love this course. We also had to hike to to the top...dang lifts were closed.
" started from the top, now we're here "'.. I see what you did there 🤣🤣
Eagle's shot is fun to watch. Another great one from Solitude is Jere Eshelman's throw on hole 18. 1500 feet!
I didn't know Jeff Spring was such a good disc golfer--putting especially.
Love the content, Simon! Keep grinding! May I ask what car you drive.
Gotta check out Crystal Mountain, Washington. One of my all time favorite mountain courses.
Love that place. There every weekend since it wasn't open last year...
Glad to see you enjoyed Solitude, & I'm curious as to what you shot score wise... Our local players anxiously wait 8mo every year for the 4mo window where it's open for play. Also, Eagle's shot was just a safari hole from 6tee-8basket. Solitude vibes are always soul enriching...
Soli Sundays, Baby! Love that course. Played it last Sunday after World's. Great ending to a week of AWESOME disc golf with World's in UT. Grip it and rip it, son.
Yessss! We hit the first round of the season here 2 weeks ago
Simon - come play Caliber in North Idaho... I promise you'll love it!
Sad to hear all the players say they didn’t like the course. That was my favorite disc golf to watch of all the courses they have played. Love the right gaps. There were six people in contention at the last day. What more could you want?
Mulligan's was super disappointing to me. I really liked The Fort though.
Beautiful.
If you go on Saturdays in the summer, you can usually use the chair lift to get to the top.
Lets goooooooo simon
this is my dream course :D
"started from the top now we're here" bwahahahaha 🤣🤣😂
that course is my favorite ive ever played.
Nice, always wanted to play there
8:17, smooth.
Simon talking in dudes backswing!lol 5:35
I've skied there lol ESPN lets go!!!
I have played the course and it is epic. On 18 I put it within 60 feet. Unbelievable, it was in the air for Sooooooo long it looked like it was going over the lodge and landed within 60. By far the longest airtime I've ever had. Took me quite awhile to hike down. I've also skied this resort many times and it is a great ski area too.
For anyone curious, you don't have to take the hike into the course. There is a chair lift that costs like $10, or they have season passes. Simon probably wanted to hike, or it wasn't operating yet.
Also this course is insane, beautiful, cool in the summer, really difficult, and you'll lose a lot of discs if you're a scrub like me.
Aye we love to see another Mazda 6 Driver🤍❤️
Crystal mountain in Washington is another fantastic mountain course
Played that during a conference 2 years ago (I’m from AZ). Super fun course, especially with the LLOONNGG additional 9 holes up top.
So weird hearing someone else say my last name. :) Great content!
Absolutely beautiful
Hi Simon, I woulde love to see a video update on your bag, Sick video
crazy elevation!
thx for this vdo :D
I’d love to play that course, but would prefer to go there in winter and ski!
Hope you enjoyed our State man. I'm still yet to play Soli.
Jeff: "scared of losing discs" *next camera shot he just bags eagles back to back** hahah
Big Cottonwood baby!
The disc golf course at Mount Crested Butte is named 10-3 because the first hole starts at 10,300". You take the ski lift up to the first hole and throw your way back down the mountain. I only took a few discs and lost them all on the way down, mostly in tall grass. On nice days the hang gliders are soaring high above. Sweet!
I love the mountains of Utah, were you staying in park city? I used to live there for a bit, and man do they have amazing outdoors. Sadly I didn't play disc golf then. :/
