Thanks to Bjorn Sagge for explaining this song. Sissel’s voice is so beautiful, as always! But I must comment on the two gentlemen who also have very nice voices. They sound like men should sound- unlike most popular American males (J Bieber, e.g.) who sound like little girls.

She was a sailors wife and married to Ebanezer Handt.Both died in 1872.She was only 20.According to the guy that wrote the song,Erik Bye.
