  • In third episode of How It Works, we talk about how museums add works to their collection-buying them, receiving gifts and donations, all sorts of ways-and how a museum decides what it will include. We can't take everything, so how do we make that call?
    HOW IT WORKS
How It Works invites young people and their family and friends into the world of museum work. Episodes highlight what different people who work in a museum do, why we do what we do, and how our work can enrich a visitor's experience, in person or online. ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Dr. Ann Poulson joined the Henry as Associate Curator of Collections in 2018. She has degrees in Art History, Fashion History and Museum Studies, and Modern British History, and has enjoyed working with art at a variety of institutions on both sides of the Atlantic. In her spare time, she dotes on her plastic lizard, who keeps forgetting to water the houseplants.
