When he's often using a load far above what he should be handling, the weight moves slowly because all heavy weight must move slowly. And this isn't even mentioning that he actively avoids full ROM and then have all these people saying he trained the hardest and is workouts were the hardest. Do you know how hard full ROM, with proper technique, significantly slowing the eccentric down, is? And the amount of stimulus to the TARGET muscle that brings vs the proportionally lower fatigue it generates?

You're absolutely right most do not put that level of passion, anger, and emotion into training but doing so doesn't mean optimal training. Leave optimal training/progression to someone who isnt in the gym for pure pain and to let raw emotion out while lifting weights
