An idea that maybe for someone who is more illustration centered could be tarot cards! or going for a new theme of cards for the game magic! you could play with the name of the tarot cards, also play with the description on each magic card, the colors, etc. Also making a stationary branding could be really fun! from making sticky notes, or envelopes, etc.

One question: Images? Where to get them? Let's say an ad campaign for a fashion company, as you mentioned. Where would you get pictures from? You can't use from their website, because pictures are a main part of a campaign and at this point, you just copy the old campaigns. Also you can't use their pictures on your own website portfolio.

You can use a word generator or even placeholder text! No need to become a writer just for a design project haha☺️

Stock images help! I utilize the stock images available through Canva, both free and pro options are great.
pexels is a great resource! And yes, that's with two Es, no I :)
Pixabay has a good variety picture
"Dupe" photos is a new site, copyright free images and videos in Pinterest or Instagram reel/story style.
You can use websites like pexels, pinterest, unsplash etc.
Personally i use pexels because here you can easily get your desired high quality pics
