  • The Sailors' Children's Society is a UK-based charity that supports children of seafarers facing financial hardship. Established in 1821, the society assists families of merchant navy, fishing fleet, Royal Navy, and Royal Marines personnel. They provide practical help, including clothing grants, educational support, and holiday respite. The society aims to ensure that these children have opportunities for a brighter future, despite the economic challenges their families may face. Through their efforts, the Sailors' Children's Society promotes stability and well-being among the maritime community's next generation.
The Matthew Good Foundation has previously supported Sailors' Children's Society through the John Group's employee giving programme. We have now also part-funded this film through our Amplify Funding Films programme, in order to help them demonstrate their impact and communicate the benefits of supporting them to new potential suppers.
