When Vern was doing mail time in his UA-cam channel, I sent him a sword with his name engraved on it along with a poster. His signed the poster and sent it back to me. He was a cool dude for sure. Wish he was still around
I remember that! I looked forward to his videos every Wednesday.
Was sad he passed. Had watched all his vids. Was waiting for a new one just to find out he was gone like a week or so later
I remember that episode, I just commented, he would personally answer every single piece of fan mail he got, and would then respond if asked. Proof is in the pudding, cherish that sword.
Jordan, many thanks for producing this memorial vlog. Always sad when someone, who brought so much happiness to others, fails to find happiness in their own life.
I'm disabled having had a stroke at the age of nine so while not all my dreams came true like acting I was able to get many autographs from famous people and I had recently got Verne address and was about to write him but he took his life shortly after.
I did subscribe to his UA-cam,
and at one episode it showed all his fan mail he would receive. He would personally respond to every single 1, and sign/return anything he was sent as long as the sender included a return posted package.
What a great celebrity, very very sad indeed.😢
Thanks Jordan! He, later in life suffered like Andre. His condition made him self medicate, to numb the pain and depression.
A few of the little people actors have ended up ending their lifes. They always get a raw deal with acting. Thank you for the coverage again Jordan 😊
Thank you, Jordan, for this video. I'm sure Verne could have lived a long and happy life had alcoholism not gotten him. I have seen the ruin alcoholism brings to the lives of the alcoholics and their loved ones.
I am kinda happy no one left things about anything he played in movies and stuff. He deserves to be remembered for himself, not some fictional character.
Just visited Verne a couple months ago. Thought that portrait of him on the headstone is so sweet. Leonidas was such a quiet town! Loved it lol
Im happy that he's living a better life now buried with his family is the right thing to do . 😢 I used to watch his videos on UA-cam some years ago. Thanks for bringing this up to light, we will never forget him he was a great actor. Thanks Jordan. 🙏
Hi, I just want to add that he is not buried with his family at least not yet if you look closely at the tombstone his siblings only have their birthdates or there not the death date so for right now they’re still alive but it is nice. He will not be alone once it is time for them to go.
@@aminajames5745 ok I see, thanks 👍
Living a better life? He's dead.
@@bufordteejustice1119 what I mean by living a better life, he is up there in heaven with God instead of down here on earth, living a miserable life as he felt by drinking himself to death that’s all.
@@aminajames5745 I figured that. Have a great day.
Thanks again for sharing Jordan and Jah
You always show such great respect for those who have passed before us. Your level of compassion is truly beautiful. 💜
Very good video. Verne has a beautiful headstone. May he rest in peace. I love the scene of him disappearing into the cape. I will have to watch that movie.
May he R.I.P. I really liked him in the Austin Power films. Very funny.
I met vern in 1997 at the filming of "My giant". I was 15. He was such a great dude
So sad to hear about his early passing. Fascinating guy & really did so much in his short life. Self made man for sure. Thank you Jordan for sharing his story.
His death is shocking ..I had no idea that's how he died. Mental health is a Demon so many of us suffer from . So very sad...he was a cool dude who had to fight his own demons ...rest in peace Sir. Thanks for the laughs
Thanks for sharing Vern’s story with us. I hadn’t ever heard too terribly much about his backstory, so this was all very interesting to me. I had to look it up out of curiosity… so the names on either side of his on his gravestone are his parents. Looks like they were both 24/25 when they had him. They were both born in ‘45.
Rest in peace, Vern.💖
Always great stream. Thank You for Verne Troyer's life story.
Hope y’all had a good 4th. Those fireworks were awesome 👏.
Nice video of Verne RIP.
Thanks for this video, its kinda sad because i was and still am subscribed to hes youtube, i really liked this guy quite alot, he was funny and was a great actor. Its really sad that he has passed away, when i got the news about it i was low for several weeks before i could let it go..
Thank you for this video Jordan. Best wishes from the UK.
Met him in Jersey and he was not a nice guy, he seemed very bitter. He spent alot of time at the bar in the Hotel but did eventually give me a photo. I've learned alot in this video and have a better understanding of why he acted that way. Great video as always Jordan
Jordan thank you for sharing this video with us
VH-1's "The Surreal Life" problem w/drinking in that.
I just remember him saying “I’m alright I’m alright I’m alright”. But it sounds funny from him being so small and drunk
he was a good actor for sure he will be deeply miss by all
Loved this ❤ I worked with Verne on the set of Moby's music video. He was very sweet natured and quiet. One of the extras was squealing in horror out loud at the sight of him (and in front of him) and I felt terrible for him. He must have encountered that a lot. I'm glad he was able to live a happy life within the entertainment industry. RIP.
Larger than life soul gone too soon. Great vlog thank you ❤❤❤❤
Thanks for doing this video Jordan, and showing the normal life Verne had before entering the acting world.
He was the best part of the Austin Powers movies, they wouldn't have been the same without mini-me!
Verne's sad ending reminds me of Herve Villechaize, who also died by suicide at about the same age. We can't know
the pain those two went through because of their physical challenges. RIP Verne
Loved Verne. This is a sad story at the end. RIP VT. ❤
He was in our British big brother years ago he was so funny he got drunk and he was on his scooter and bumped into the diary room door.
Another awesome one Jordan! Thanks.❤️❤️🐾🎈
I discovered Verne's youtube channel like two weeks before he died. I really enjoy celebrities who appreciate their fans, and he seemed to be just that. RIP
Poor Verne. Makes me very sad how he passed away. I still subscribe to his UA-cam channel and there’s some cool videos on there. Time to rewatch them and remember little Mini Me. Rest in peace. 😞❤️
bring back the green sunglasses at the beginning of the vlogs!! im glad they had a great memorial headstone for mini me!! i only saw him from the mini me from austin powers movie!!
GREAT, Jordan! Interesting story...thanks for bringing this to UA-cam! Those Amish don't screw around! He should have been in some Lord of the Rings movies!!!! Excellent roporting as usual! Bless his heart, I wouldn't have been real happy either....walk a mile in my shoes!!!!!
What would Shelley say...yep i posted this to Jordan some years ago and got a reply, which goes to show not only has he got a great channel he is a cool and nice guy to.
Verne was an adorable actor, just loved him, ty for this Jordan. Be safe🤗🥰🐾
Hey, thanks for doing one on Mr. Troyer. It was a bummer when he passed. Like some actors when they pass? You feel bad for the family? But there's some actor's male or female that when you hear about the passing? It hurts in your soul. Paul Reubens and Carl Weathers recently but Vern's passing hurt too.
Thanks for sharing his resting place and story.
I remember when I was about 10 or 11 years old I waited in line for 3 and a half hours and they announced he would be done soon he cut the line off right behind me and my father he was very very tired from a long day swarmed by fans they had run out of his photograph but they had some of phil phondicardo who was also there and when we got up he wasnt sure where to sign but we flipped it over and he gladly signed the back my father and me shook his hand it was cool to meet phil too they were really nice to me and I miss him. now him and my dad are in a better place I look forward to seeing them both again. He signed with best wishes from verne troyer aka MINI ME
I had NO CLUE about the baby’s day out movie! How cool!
Great report, Jordan. You tell the best stories.
Thanks, Jordan. I hardly knew anything about the man except for mini me
Thanks for this video i never knew this about his life
Very cool video. Thanks!
Another great video Jordan so sad Verne was great in his movies with Mike Myers rest in peace Verne Troyer
I was just in that area of Michigan visiting family. My family has been in that area for a very long time. Had no idea he was from there.
Vern was the man!
I always say, if you don’t have good mental health, you have nothing. RIP Verne🙏💖🙏
I was sorry to hear of him passing. I thought he was a good actor. I hope he is resting in peace and free from all his problems. Thanks for showing us this Jordan. Take care.
Love your video, I am right around the corner in Kalamazoo Mi.
A sad but interesting video. Thanks for doing your research. I see parallels between his life and the life of Herve Villachaise, Tattoo from Fantasy Island. I did not realize he was born into an Amish family. I will look forward to future videos, especially those from the great state of Michigan.
I'm lucky I got to meet him in 2010. Super nice guy. I remember shaking his hand. It was so small but he had a good grip. I ask him about making another Austin Powers movie and he told me its up to Mike (Myers).
Hey! He's a Bigger Man , Than Myself . Believe it He Help Me. God works in His Ways .Bless His Spark. Bless All.❤
Small in stature, but great in life what a wonderful being you was❤
"Larger than life" - Yeah, there ya go....
"Big man on campus" Next.....
He had us laughing during Surreal Life even though he was humiliating. We couldn't have known how serious his condition was. Wish he could've hooked up with Dr Drew.
I remember when he was on the surreal life he was so hilarious in that show RIP Verne Troyes
Great story on Verne Jordan.
Awesome Shirt
Good video, rip to him
Verne Troyes was “very Special” to my daughter and I… When I knew he was coming to an Auto Show here.. I got tickets. Paul Le Mat , Veryne Troyer and Peter Dinklage were doing “meet and greets”! First Stop…Mini Me! I took my daughter and her friend… and they hit it off with Mr. Troyer. I took off to meet Paul La Mat and see his yellow car from American Graffiti. When I got back, all 3 were still talking. I told them “we need to go”… As we were walking away… I looked back and Mr.Troyer was standing on his chair “waving”… He had Hot Wheel Shoes on that day… We won’t forget “Mr. Troyer”. He was so sweet and kind to all of us. Big Loss to all of us.
I did not know he was dead. I hope he is in a better place.
I followed his youtube page till he died
"He was actually a big man on campus."
I'm not laughing, you're laughing.
God Bless him ❤
Rest in peace
Reuben jr & Susan on his gravestone are actually his parents who are still both alive !
He was also on the show Trailer Park Boys as himself
I watch his videos on UA-cam, cool channel miss Vern RIP.
Wow..Thank You Jordan for such a memorial blog. I didnt know that Vern passed. Hollywood can be harsh but Im glad to see that he was able to find such happiness in the biz. Its really so awful that the alcohol did him in like it did. I wouldnt call it "suicide" even if it was self inflicted. It was likely accidental. I wish they would change that. Unless it was apparent it was intentional. I would hate to accidentally kill myself and it be logged as suicide. He really bring joy to so many. And it wasnt because of his stature. He was a quite mighty man. Bigger than life really. Im just in shock. 😪🌈💔
I think thoes names on the head stone with Verne is his parents names
Some people make the best of the cards their delt .RIP❤
Poor Verne. I had no idea.
It must have been hard for him to be treated like a “freak”. I’m extremely tall, and because I’m a tall woman people used to treat me like a “freak”. Things have changed a lot since the early to mid 2010’s thank goodness But I understand why he was angry, I get it. 😢
Haters gonna hate. You're friggin gorgeous Amy.
@@teamexpress851 you are very kind))) ♥️❤️♥️❤️🙏🏽
OMG we're from the same state Michigan the only difference is I'm from the Southern part of Michigan
i love his cooking videos
Rest in peace Vern troyer a.k.a. mini me
RIP Vern aka Mini Me!
I see the stone I left from a few weeks back
Rip Verne Troyer😢❤
Rest In Peace 🙏
HI JORDAN..... I AM DOING GREAT!
It would be miserable to live his life. I don’t judge him for ending it.
Rip
He was on Wife Swap farting! It was so funny!
Is there a reason why there's no date of death on his parent's headstone?
They are alive
I love me some mini me!
👍👍
Who is buried next to him?
Looks like no one yet, his siblings are on the headstone but they don't have a death date listed yet. Parents are on the left side of Verne. RIP Verne, he was hilarious as Mini-me.
Those are his parents names on his headstone. They haven't passed yet.
Billy Barty died at 76 not 72
Ok
So much to talk about…. So LITTLE time 🤣….
How awesome he was Amish. I knew Verne
You come to Cherry Fest?
No, del shannon weekend in battle creek
Could those be his parents? He is buried with .
His siblings. His parents are the headstone to the right
@DazewithJordantheLion Mose R. was born in 1943 and his children were born in 1945?? I'm sorry if I am wrong.
Those are his parents. Not siblings. I think the grave over could be grandparents
@rynn0077 It's his Uncle and Aunt. His Dads brother.
He killed his self right
Austin powers
I know someone whi was on an episode of Wife Swap. Totally fake!
The fart was fake?
I wonder if he knew how much he was loved by all of us?
