Absolutely fascinating Nestor. Congratulations are due. What an achievement and I am so happy for you. You have proven you are a good sailor and no one can control the elements, especially the wind. Brilliant video, well edited and filmed, I also loved the music. Keep well and safe. James.
I did cry, but was also very happy for you !!! A real emotional roller coaster 😅 Awesome effort, awesome video and a sail well done ! No one can control the elements, you did GREAT ❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤.
What a fantastic video, up there with the best on You-tube. Nestor with your knowledge of sailing and enthusiasm you will have many more adventures and we would all like to share them with you through your absolute brilliant videos. Well done on the money raised what an achievement.
Congratulations Nestor, you flippin' did it. Nothing wrong with a bit of a tow, after all, we can't have our favourite maniac aimlessly drifting around in a shipping lane, can we! 😲 Thoughtful editing conveyed the mixed emotions, from joyful exhilaration to despondency. Altogether a brilliant production job and, how nice was the welcoming party when you finally made landfall. Another thoroughly enjoyable Movie, thanks for taking us along with you. 💯❤ All the best Nestor, looking forward to the next epic voyage alongside our intrepid adventurer, out there on the water. Bob W.😃
Thanks Bob! Yea drifting around in a shipping lane isn’t the best place to be! Glad you enjoyed the editing means a lot. Next video is crossing wales where we get hit by a squall! So definitely exciting. As always thanks for support Bob!
Incredible mission, so well edited. Absolutely loved it! Have windsurfed round so know it well and you captured the different characters of different parts of the island so well. Please wear a cap and shades for the next mission!
Great video Nestor, really enjoyed your narration. I felt so much sympathy as you sounded so deflated as you accepted the tow. Well done as ever fantastic achievement for charity. All the best RobO
Congratulations Nestor on a job well done, what an incredible journey and experience. It was an awesome accomplishment, against wind (or no wind) and tide, one you will no doubt treasure and remember for years to come. Can’t wait to see what you accomplish next. Great to see your Dad supporting you so well.
I was just in those waters a couple of weeks ago. Went on a touristy tour of the cliffs of Dover and St Catherine's around to the pier and back then on a tour or Dover Castle where we left from. You should do the Castle tour, really cool and maybe even the boat tour around that side of the island, they tell you the history of the area and of specific ship wrecks and the trails through the white cliffs. Thank You for filming these videos, nicely done!
Took a preview and added a 'like' to what promises to be a very nice documentary. As soon as I have time, I will watch it all. Hey, no wind is actually a significant part of sailing!
Good good good!!! Does 3 goods = excellent? Nah, I think it's better. Nicely done and especially for it being so lengthy, it was more than worth the watch.
Hi, Nestor. I’m a bit behind on your vids what with all the fun cruising on Zanetia this summer, but I just wanted to send you a “well done” message for your island circumnavigation. So what if you only sailed 95% or more of it. The lesson is that the wind controls a sailor’s plans no matter how good they are or he is. You did great and nobody can honestly say otherwise who has been becalmed in a shipping lane in an engineless vessel.
That was a great video. I’m not sure but I think you succeeded in sailing around the island. You should be proud. I have heard the tides and winds in that area are interesting at best. Keep up your hard work you will be a great sailor
Well done, Nestor, I was almost crying when you finally had to accept that bit of a tow, but you did not need to be in a shipping lane with no way to get going. I love the way you did the editing, fantastic job, congratulations from Center Point Texas. So, what are you going to do next? Lol. BTW, do you mind if I share this.
Thank you! Yes a shipping lane isn’t really the ideal place to be. New video up on Monday which is part one of me sailing across Wales (not in the laser lol) Yes please share!
awesome bit of sailing Nestor - congrats!! It was great to see Wight from the sea on a beautiful day. I went to a wedding there and stayed in Freshwater. The wedding was at the church near Queen Victoria's cottage. We traveled all around the island so it was cool to see the same sights on ur video. And the pee tutorial is something I will always remember - not too different from taking a leak from a crew shell which I have to do occasionally ngl gahahaha. Thnx again dood.
Wow man I just spent the last 45 minutes completely immersed in your movie; you should be super proud of yourself (and I think you must have been SO tired after that!) Thank to your Dad for the long shots, I bet he had fun time doing it also..See! I reminded you to pack sunscreen haha
So glad you enjoyed it! To be honest I actually wasn’t as tired as I thought I would be which makes me think I can do something bigger next time! Hahah yes the sun cream was absolutely essential so thank you!
Good to see that Über eats {dad's delivery service} was able to get a nice fresh sandwich to you out on your sale. The only comment would be that I would have preferred to see you do something with the plastic wrap vs just throwing it into the plastic into the foot well. As a sailor I don't need to tell you about how harmful that plastic wrap is to marine life!! 😮😮😮😮😢😢😢😢😢 And the most important thing about a bathroom break on your sailboat is to NEVER pee into the wind, regardless of Port or Starboard side of the boat!!! 😮😅😅😂😂😂
Superb effort. Felt so bad for you having that tow but glad your bit of dignity was restored at the end. Tell us how you managed to video it all sometime. That too was a great achievement from a technical point of view. Hope your schoolmates give you the credit you deserve.
The filming was probably the hardest bit! GoPro nearly went in the sea a couple times… but yeh i was just clipping it to anything I could find on the boat!
Nestor, awesome job. If you want some experience on a bit of a more technical big boat, do you want a ride on a J121? Would just be a short race or a bit of a play around, but could get you some experience with big boat a sails/code 0s.
G'day Nestor ..... like your raw truthfulness style videos mate. Just with "pee" process, no kneeling or any other move that puts your body in a potentially dangerous situation needed mate. A hand held plastic jug mate does the trick and its safe .....
Well done Nester as someone has said you are up there with the best of YT. Do you want a Hustler SJ27 for £1500? There's one in our club and I saw it and thought of you
Thank you! That is exactly the type of boat I’d like- I love the older racer cruisers. Unfortunately its a year and a half too early for me- but I may be interested in making a video on it which might help get it sold…where are you based?
@@nestorandhisboat It's on Humberside. It's not me who's selling it, it belongs to a club member who is our instructor in residence. I couldn't believe that it was available so cheaply- we just need a bunch of young mad fools up here to make good use of it!
Great to have a dad like that
Nestor......keep living this dream!!!!! WELL DONE!
Never give up attitude... that's what I like young fella.
Thanks
Thank you so much!
Well done Nestor, you didn't let it beat you.

Better to be out sailing than watching my videos so I am in full support of that. Thank you for your message Rip.
Good for you Nestor! Glad your dad was nearby otherwise your mother would have been a wreck!
Well Done!!
Well done young man keep up the great work
Really awesome Nestor!
Thanks ernesto!
This is a brilliant little film. It's great at every level: commentary, camera and editing. Nice choice music too.
Thank you!
