I believe in reincarnation. When I was 12, I had drowned when I went fishing with two older cousins. I went on a journey and I met children and spouses from previous life times. I even played a game with one of the children who told me that I was his mom and there is no such thing as past lives. During My NDE, I saw my deceased body in the water and I guess I became what is called the soul. Being a soul, I still had all my senses and I saw people on the other side talking without moving their lips. They did not wink either. I saw waterfalls, beautiful streams, and green plants. Nothing looked dead. I saw my uncle Bill and some of my deceased classmates and they all looked healthy and their skin looked vibrant. The furnitures were beautiful. I even sat on a kid's brown triangular leather lounge. There were white science magazines there with no pictures. Anyway, when i returned I came back with a gift as a medium.

If reincarnation was real then why is it that when you're young it's so hard to visualize yourself being old? In youth we have this strange subconscious idea inside us that we will be young forever (even though consciously we know this isn't true) and so getting older tends to hit most people hard. Yet if we were born and died a hundred times already, then our soul should be more comfortable with getting older by now.

Interessante. Ottima osservazione. What is never told is the fact that reincarnation (awful word) do not deals with sentient beings as a whole. I mean: only a few falls back on this planet (or keeps being tied at it) and inform a new kind of biological body. Funny that all those claiming past lives say they have been princess or leaders or witches burned at stake or wise owner of secret teachings, etc. No one has ever been a poor wretched, a coalminer, a housekeeper, a shoeshiner... Apologize for my appalling english: I have no record of past life as a cockney-londoner.

Sometimes information escapes while we are asleep and depending on our age at the time this happens we may interpret them as dreams but in fact they are distant memories of a past life. If they repeat in same sequence they are not dreams but a distant memories. These can be horific in nature when they repeat in sequence. But they are indeed past life memories.Real dreams flip flop throught a dreams but images during dreams with repeated sequence is something that needs more investigation.

I think reincarnation exists because a lifetime as we know it is simply not enough time to achieve all the things one wants to achieve for oneself, for humanity and the universe in general. We usually take just one path in life and we can't really complete the task in onle life only. This is why we born again and again to keep going until we achieve bliss.

  • @VarozPk

I think memories function as saved files do on a computer. The memories we have today are not the original memories we once had as a child, but instead copies of those memories. Those memories that we once had become diluted over time from being copied from pre-existing copies (due to the lack of the original copy).

This is a tough one! You’ll never explain reincarnation scientifically ! This subject is on a whole other level . This is about where your soul or inner Conscience goes after your body gives out ? I myself believe that we have a inner soul that goes somewhere after we pass . The idea of reincarnation is flawed. If your soul moves to another body when you die then why is the population increasing dramatically? Where are these new souls coming from? What is the meaning of life if we just die and keep moving to different bodies everytime? These are the reasons I believe in heaven and hell.

We hardly remember our past lives or have no memories of our past lives do we? Karma or cause and effect law of nature knows how to keep an account of our thoughts (desires and ego) and actions. Individual perceptions, thoughts, body types differ in every life based on karma. Consciousness is gender neutral. Men in this life could re-incarnate as women in next life.Black woman in this life could re-incarnate as a white man in the next life. It all depends on Karma (due to desires, ego thoughts and action)

Dr., you spoke of a given memory as something being brought into "being" via a probability wave being actualized as a space time event, induced by synaptic firing. You used a television's method of operation as an example, whereby the device is initially "off" and not presenting data, but once stimulated into being "on" that it now was capable of receiving information.
But isn't the brain quite different in that it doesn't necessarily retrieve or receive data from some external source (such as a data line from a cable provider to a t.v.) but as something stored at the neuro-cellular level? Granted, you as well pointed out that however we retrieve memory, that that given memory is imperfect, somehow manipulated by however way in which our "consciousness within consciousness" functions. This almost gives rise to the possibility that it is our (imperfect) biological connectivity that somehow interferes with an external data source. So, while we might recall the face and voice of a girl we knew in our youth, that much of what we perceive as an actual event is somehow no more than a variant of the experience and in no way one-hundred percent factual.
This certainly gives thought to the potential of criminal investigations being supported by witness testimony as being flawed.
Anyway, I assume that materialistic scientists will claim that all knowledge is stored (regardless of imperfections and schematic apperception) at the neuro-cellular level (i.e., the limbic system). That being said, what you've stated here certainly reminds me of William James's "stream of consciousness theory" (whereby thoughts flow into the conscious mind) and its connection to the Buddhist viññāna-sota or "mind-stream" and in many ways seems absolutely possible.
    Thank you.

But, that's an interesting theory, I will have to give it some thought having great events unfold in my life, and being able to see patterns myself, can see in great depth. These are cases where people in absolute dementia and no memory suddenly become lucid and regain all memories of their present life at the time preceding death. As if the consciousness starts becoming free from the body at death.

    believe what they want
Let us remember Job who his friends told him to have sinned and punished, while misery was a test of his faith toward God. Moreover, if Christ accepted the reincarnation, he would not heal the blind, but would leave him so that he would now be forgiven the debt of sins of his previous life and the next to be born in better condition! These from the Bible can not be called a Christian, and at the same time believe in Hindu beliefs ... Right of reincarnation fans to believe what they want. But they are not allowed to falsify the Bible to support their theory. The Bible at every point of her reverses the reincarnation. If reincarnation was in force, it is not justified to see Elijah's tumultuous rise to the sky, since the body has no value nor its appearance in transformation, since it must have been lost in the divine as a perfect one. Moses, how did he appear himself? He had not been reincarnated during the 1,250 years since his death until the time of Christ; People believe in the reincarnation of its tricks, devils.

"Reincarnation is the way of escaping hell"
Christianity (Religion) is the way of escaping reality.

mateo Minga hell doesn't exist. if you really think about the concept of hell, you see it's a mental construct humans made based on the desire for revenge; that those who do "wrong" should be punished. it has no basis beyond human emotion and thought

Wow, that’s harsh. I can relate to feeling that way tho. Thru my own spiritual awakening process I started going thru about 8 months ago, I struggled with my purpose of existing (which is to grow spiritually in love); and at the same time I had to deal with my repeated go-to answer in life when I experience hardships and extreme sadness which was the desire to die. One night while I stood at the kitchen sink doing the dishes, after thinking on all the amazing mind and spiritual changing experiences I have had so far I said out loud, ‘I want to live, I don’t want to die; I want to live and grow.’ As I said that I could literally and very strongly physically feel joy coming to me from the spiritual realm - from my higher self, from the Creator, and so on. I hope you can come to a place where you will put your mind and thoughts on the glorious experiences and path for spiritual growth that is meant just for you.

Deepak Chopra. Though I'm aware that the concept of what we call "free will" is an illusion. I really don't like you, and I truly believe that your doing a lot more harm than good. While my discontent/dislike toward you is highly irrational, due to this lack in "free will". I can't help but to hold you personally accountable. I guess just knowing "free will" isn't free, still doesn't have much affect on the brains ability to accuse others of things they cannot control. Which is why I irrationally hate Donald Trump.

If we've been separated from God by choice and were here then to learn then why is it so difficult if one desires to reunite with God again would there be the need to return again to a world of suffering. Wht wouldn't we just remain with God.

There is not God but Consciousness. Worship of Cow is to respect given to the animals that provides milk to babies which lost mother . Hinduism says everything is God . It is mind purification rituals .
