The car goes straight every pass so we don't worry about it. Done 100s of wheelstands but this one went further than most.Short shift to 3rd it will come down everytime. I now have a wheelie bar on it but its under the bumper and it still pulls huge wheelies but it will not go past 200 feet anymore. Thanks for watching.
That almost made me cry. Loved it. One of the better in-car camera vids due to the 1st to 3rd wheel stand. Like the angle too. Full driver foot to helmet and full windshield shot.

Then in the pits the car got a walk-a-round and the engine was shown along with some info from the driver about the run and some details about the car and engine. THIS WAS A REAL HALF-ASS VIDEO.
Nothing better than seeing the car run the track in a matter of seconds and watching it take minutes to return. Gives you a real appreciation of the beast she is drivin :))).
Well from what i've seen in other videos that's the way she wants it. Oherwise there'd be some wheelie bars, etc. But you gotta have faith that car is going to go arrow straight down that track when you stand it up.
+Tyler Luckenbill -- Actually, the suspension does NOT 'need more tuning'. Cars with close to stock ride height with relatively high horsepower/torque usually need a good amount of weight transfer in order to hook up properly on many tracks. Had you attended AND paid close attention to many of the NHRA or IHRA Stock and Super Stock classes, you would have noticed what they do as well as figured out why they left the line with a usual wheelstand. If they didn't wheelie, most would not hook up as well, nor would they ET as well. 90/10 - 60/40 and similar shock combos have been used to help accomplish this weight transfer effectively for several decades. --- True, being on the back wheels only while shifting into 3rd gear is a bit excessive for optimum ETs. This car doesn't necessarily do 3 gear wheelies on every pass. A lower torque convertor stall speed, a different cam profile, higher final drive gear ratio, etc. could all be implemented IF that is what the owners chose to do while leaving the car's ride height and suspension tuning exactly the same. Doing any or all of the aforementioned would likely help to accomplish lower wheelies but it is NOT a guarantee this car would hook up and ET considerably better than it does when in the same tune as in this video. Lisa never had to lift while on this pass so she was hooked up AND at full power the entire run. Regardless, the owners are doing what they choose to do and more power to them. It is an exciting car for most any true racing enthusiast and they have a blast with their car. Apparently, that's what they want to do and neither you or I has a say in the matter, nor do we have experience with all the nuances of this particular car and the best way to obtain it's lowest ET. I'd be willing to bet they do.
You mean, she's got a better car then most out there... Anyone can do a wheel stand if the car is setup to do that shit. Much respect to the driver anyway...
When the car came down from the wheelstand my wife lifted off the throttle ,checked the rearview mirror for smoke and never put the throttle back down on the floor. She said she only had it half throttle through the traps. That wheelstand was UNexpected as usually it sets the wheels down after the 1 2 shift! It shook her up a bit but she drove the car very well. lol
