What I'm finding most challenging about my own loop station covers is when I'm almost done, and then I screw something up and have to start it all over again!! GRR! its getting easier though. just gotta keep pumping the videos out.... I can appreciate the effort made in your videos Luke. Loving your stuff mate!
Hey Lachlan, I can totally relate to that. When I do a video and I get it done in less than 5 tries I consider that a win. I've learned rehearsing it a few extra times before I start filming helps a lot. Cheers! Thanks for watching!
Great job. Did I see you undo the vocals and then redo them later in the track? How come you did that? What did you have on each track? When you're recording your vocals you're also playing the guitar. Doesn't that just layer loads of guitars on track 3 or have you got some clever routing going on?
hey man! Thanks. Yes, on this song I added the chorus vocal layers (the stacked harmonies) on the first round of the chorus and then took them out so that I could still use that guitar loop without the chorus vocals playing over the whole song. And then I brought them back in on the following choruses. I don't remember what I did exactly on this one but I usually add main guitar part on the first loop, the horn line, bassline on the second loop and percussion on the 3rd loop. This way I can take them in and out as needed through the song. To your last question, yes I still play guitar while recording the vocals, it does add another layer on top of the base loops but two things 1) I don't strum as hard so its getting layered but its minimal. 2) it helps make that moment on the chorus even bigger with all the guitar parts and the vocals on top. Looping is benefited by these dynamics in my opinion. Cheers man, thanks for watching.
Great cover Luke ! Brilliant. Can you tell me how you are able to get the bass on the keys and the drum on the pads, at my m-audio 49 the sound of the keys is the same as the sound coming out of the pads. And which bass sound do you use?
Man this is so Lit 🔥 initially I just came to listen to the cover but I couldn't help myself to subscribe to you mate. Great work Great talent I hope you grow and prosper keep working hard. Kudos 🙏🏻🔥
How to Use a Midi Keyboard with a Looper (Without a Computer!) ua-cam.com/video/ZpJMGOrV1AY/v-deo.html This is how I did it but I think there are a bunch of different ways!
No worries, yea if you have a long enough cable (I have used an extender before) you can plug into the Headphones jack on the RC300 and still use your main outs to go into speakers. I have done this before and it works pretty well!

Hearing the first few chords, makes me realize this song can blend almost seamlessly with "Get Lucky" by Daft Punk... anyone else hear it?
Where do you get all your music from?
Usually grab it all on UltimateGuitar.com if its not there I gotta figure it out! Which isn't the best haha
