I love Testament. Souls of Black was one of my favourite albums growing up. I saw them once a few years ago and I'm going to see them again this year with Kreator and Anthrax. Can't wait! Also, they'll be touring with Behemoth soon.
so glad you did the extended version! that ending is one of the most beautiful things i ever heard in my life. glad to see you are good and still uploading!!
Testament, one of the best thrash bands ever. While I have nothign bad to say about Anthrax, Testament should have replaced them in the Big 4 tour. Yeah they never reached the same sales as those bands, but musically they were always on spot in comparison. Also people who thinks Testament sounds like Metallica have not payed attention to this bands discography. Metallica has nothing that sounds like Over the Wall, no Disciples of the Watch, no Souls of Black, no Electric Crown, no Low, no Burning Times, no Down for Life. Metallica today could just dream of sounding this good. They've regressed to hard rock, this remains thrash metal.
Exactly. Testament do have some songs that are Metallica-like, and with Metallica being the biggest thrash band of the 80s the comparison was inevitable, but as you noted they have many other songs that showcase their own distinctive style. That was true back in the 80s, and has only become more and more true as the years have gone by.
Testament, Overkill, and Exodus should have been part of the Big Seven, not just Big Four. Testament rules, and they NEVER compromise, unlike the others did during those lousy 90's and early 2000's, when most of the Big Four lost their way big time (yes even Slayer!) !
That lead guitarist... none other than the great Alex Skolick! The man the myth the legend
Alex Skolnick but I recognize just a typo. You know for sure!

Been listening to testament since the New Order album and they are one of my favorite bands. Still listen to them everyday!!! Thrash kings!!
Testament, the band that won thrash.

Oh yeeah, one of absolute favorite Testament tracks.

Also Chuck Billy is the best voice in Thrash Metal bar none. His Vocals in Native Blood for example are incredible
They put on a hell of a good show, saw them with Megadeth back in the day lol WAY BACK
Testament is definitely big 4 I don't care what anyone says. Megadeth, Metallica, Testament, then between Anthrax and slayer for number 4.
Dunno, I think Exodus was better than anything Anthrax or Slayer did. It's just based on album sales and name recognition.]
@cmdrdredd I could agree with that. All I know for sure though is Testament is better than everyone except Megadeth and Metallica overall.
Nah, I would say Anthrax gets the boot because none of those bands have Slayer's aggression.
