It's an Auditory illusion my friend. Our brain is very good at filling in the blanks. It tries hard to transform any similar sound into something it's familiar with. It's like when you have poor sight, your other senses don't necessarily become 'super-human', but they are working much harder to fill in the blanks. The blanks being the lack of visuals. In this particular case, it's the lack of vocals. Your brain isn't used to an instrumental version. So as instincts work, it'll try hard to make out something that isn't there. Clever how our body and mind works, huh.
How/where did you acquire the instrumental track? Are there instrumentals or isolated tracks for the other songs on this album? Like the producer edition of Wrath and Sacrament- Does anyone know?
I think some people have a program they use, which can just completely remove the words from songs. I'll look more into it a bit later, then get back to you.
Theres no such song as quiet 🤐 When all the most important songs you could ever hear and sift through for meaning or could sing your self would fall on def ears anyhow... nevermind it all and just listen to lamb of god instrumentals.
