I really really really like the "bike ride alongs" and also the Lenny the Bus "ride alongs", when you are yakking away. Don't ask me why, I just do. Also your vids are never too long lol. One thing I like about other channels is if they organize videos by subject, or even just year. I know you have three sections of some sorted, but by year on the cozy living life progression would be nice (unless there is a way for me as a viewer to do that? still don't know all the ins and outs of YT). You are getting up there, closer to 1000 videos!! Cool! Are you talking about a video camera when you mentioned mirrorless? Or a still cam?
Weird it's so pretty there. Here it just looks....dead. Well, I guess that's why I am currently on a Dead End street lol, getting ready for Halloween which is the I the day I can take my mask off. 👿😼

HA! I always like to do chats and things with a little bit more visual interest and motion like an ebike ride! They may be the least popular videos we make, but I still enjoy them myself. Good idea on the year organization! I tried to do a "how to solar" sort of playlist, but sorting by year would certainly be easier! The mirrorless camera is a Sony A7IV, which is great for both photos and videos! I love that camera because of how crisp it is - the detail is just so good! But compared to the GoPro it's a beast lol I hope you get at least a little color out there! It seems that the trees and foliage that can survive those salty breezes aren't necessarily the pretties color-changing sorts! HALLOWEEN!! 🎃👻

@@CozyLivingMachine oh cool I love Sony cams. How does it do on night shots (I SO MUCH want to take a picture of the moon and stars as I actually see them instead of white blobs.), and is there a particular lens you would suggest for that? (No cam shops in my area to check them out, sadly). Oh and Fred Meyer has been having Olipops on sale, so probably one near you does as well. The cherry cola is good. Also getting into Zevia drinks. Not bad. Dr. Zevia tastes nothing like Dr. Pepper tho.

You would think when RV's left the factory they would be done and inspected. The dealer should not have to make repairs to a brand new unit. They should just have to remove the packing materials and it should be ready to deliver. I suspect from the new units I have seen over the years that is not the case. Glad you liked the licence plates.

I completely agree. Long gone are those days, at least according to today's standards. Shameful, but there are a small handful of companies who still make a product that doesn't need to be in the shop for the first two years of its life. More on that to come! Thanks again!!

LOL, I don't know if you are talking about me or not, but early in our UA-cam relationship I did make a few comments about your use of "jump cuts" way back when. I think that was the time when you were trying hard to clean up the dead space and "uhh" and "ahh" kind of stuff you mentioned. It was not offensive, it was just an observation that make your early video's a bit choppy and as a budding editor, it was just something I had learned so I was throwing that out there. Speaking of the dead space, I used to call in my reports over the phone to a live operator and I would get teased about how often I would say "uhhhhhh" in between my thoughts. I learned that many of us do that for different reasons and it is a bad habit. One reason is that when you are talking to somebody it's common for some folks to fill in the time between thoughts with uhhh to indicate that you are not finished talking. Interesting ain't it?
I MUST say, you have really gotten comfortable and confident making your video's! Your gift of "gab" is a real talent and even though you have the ability to edit out anything later, I see so few of those kinds of cuts anymore. I could make other observations, but really? I think you have really found your lane and do great commentary. I'm even jealous as I resist talking to the camera because of my Uhhh crap and I just don't talk well, and I mumble. My mumbling was a real issue when I was in the helicopter! When there was big deal and I was stressed a bit, I would both speed talk and mumble and that is not a good thing. I learned to speak a bit more robotic and raise my voice a little and really enunciate each word. It worked really well for me. Anyway, for you to just freely speak is a talent and you have come a long way. As far as what you shoot and what you say... well, you will NEVER be able to please all the viewers all the time as you know. As you say, if you don't like what you see or hear, just scroll on by!
I agree, we hang out because we agree, in general, about values more than anything. Me, for example, I found you because you were making videos about your Esteem back when I was considering one. You took the time to actually respond to my novel length posts, just like this one, and helped me make a decision. Since then, it has just been about exploring RV's and living full time in RV's and then you expanded to a cornucopia of different things. Time creates relationships and friendships based on the same qualities you would require if we were able to hang out in person on a regular basis. Otherwise, I would have moved along after deciding against the Esteem and found a different channel that was following some other RV and say, "Thanks, bye!" It was also nice to actually meet you and Emma in person, have dinner, and get to help out with the solar swap. And here we are today, I get to be a member to support you a tiny, tiny bit and watch your videos and hang out.
Life is short, really short and there are too many things to do and too much to see and now we have places like UA-cam. Here, we get to see and experience things we may never get a chance to in person. Or we see things here that make us say, "We gotta' go there for sure" and it adds to our trip plans. And boy oh boy, "Life gets in the way" is truer than true and I am living it. With all of my excitement and anticipation of buying an RV, now I too am faced with issues that are putting my RV desires so far to the back burner that I anticipate it will never happen now, it's just how it goes, the world won't end because of it. With that, I can say I appreciate whatever you have for us and variety is the spice of life. Keep on doing what you are doing and just be yourself. You will attract who you attract with your content and that's just how it is. I appreciate that you have not become a UA-cam product "prostitute" because I hate those channels and if you grew so fast and decided that you wanted to go that way, I would wish you well, but I personally would be unsubscribing.
Keep up the good work, make sure it is always a good time and not a burden, experiment and enjoy every minute!

I'm sure you commented, but there was one person in particular that left a comment only about the cuts and how they couldn't watch and that it was fine content other than the horrible editing, that one stuck with me. 😂 I decided I would cut less, leaving some of the "uh" and "ums" in, but remove larger pauses with cuts, but shifting the camera as much as possible when I notice them in person. It was a huge change, but definitely a lot of mental effort on the front end as well as the editing end, and I think it pays off! I get the mumbling, I had a tendency to speak too quickly on the radio in the past with search and rescue as well as at Apple. It's interesting, I find that the quieter I speak, for whatever reason, the more I mumble or jumble words up. The louder, the more I pronounce. It's a balancing game now!
I appreciate your friendship! It's very interesting why we pick people to hang out with, and thinking about all of the variations in personalities, interests, communication styles, interests, and with UA-cam specifically - video quality and editing capability, it's so fascinating that we are able to make friends in this manner! I hope you can enjoy the RV travel world a little bit through these videos, though I hope you still get your own rig some day!
No product-hooking for me! I hate watching ads other than those that people genuinely use and see how things hold up over time. Those are few and far in between, that's for sure.
      Thanks!!

I would like to see more bus videos but I guess this is not how the channel is going right now.
To be truthful I don't care for the remarks that seem like cliff-hangers. In my mind if you're not going to say more about something maybe don't bother mentioning it at all. If you have a private member club that's fine but for those of us who are left out why bother talking about things that are only meant for them. It seems almost rude, in my mind, no offense because I don't think you mean to offend.
I like the flag flying, disabled Vietnam Vet here, love this country and glad I fought for our freedoms. This is one great country.
Looking forward to more videos, I have a lot of free time with the winter coming, camping is done in the pretty Northeast!

Be careful with the Winnebago thing. Even if you're right, they can sue you, and you'll have to defend yourself. That won't be cheap and they can drag it out for years, and easily cost you $100k. Then, even if you can hold out to the end, and win, many Courts are reluctant to award sanctions. This is called, and you may have heard this term, lawfare. The side with the deepest pockets wins. How long could you last shelling out $4-5k a month, or more, to your attorney? Sometimes the principal isn't worth the battle.
We are also big fans of Luz. We were following her before she met Paul. She has really evolved and created quite a niche for herself.
Do you have another channel where you cover the "secret" projects?
Good seeing Colt. He's a sweety. Now we need POL for Sam. 😂

    • @CozyLivingMachine
      @CozyLivingMachine  Місяць тому +2

That's very true, lawfare! It's a horrible thing that companies choose to do. But I'm not so dedicated to any of the videos that I couldn't create more. If nothing else, it goes to show what kind of company Winnebago really is. That's very much worth exposing to me, anyways. Same here, I've watched her for quite some time! POL for Sam coming up! 🤣
