can we just appreciate Joey and Curt their hair?
SO glad you both liked Triangle of Sadness! Most takes I've seen from US peeps have not been super favorable while in Europe it is a huge hit 😂 Justice for Dolly De Leon!
EEAAO is SO GOOD! as a queer asian myself it's always so cool to see representation, especially in such a huge movie like this one ;-; also there is so much depth to the movie, which adds so many points for me as the audience is able to point out and analyse the littlest details
I’m so glad you guys did this again! I was worried it wouldn’t happen this year. I started working at a movie theater this summer, so I have a different experience on the Oscars this year than I have in years prior.
I'm probably gonna spam the comment section as I watch the video lol but 2:50 yeah same! To be honest, I'm not even sure if I'm gonna watch the ceremony, but one of my favorite things every year when Award Season starts is to make a watchlist of the nominees. November-February is the time of the year I watch the most movies, and it's great.
This is about to be so fun!!!!
The best yearly tradition!
ok you made me want to watch tár
One of my favorite yearly traditions!!!!
1:29:05 OH MY GOD BARBARIAN!!!!!!!! it was my second favorite movie of the year, after EEAAO. There were so many good horror/horror-adjacent movies that came out last year. It kinda was the genre I enjoyed the most in 2022.
EEAAO supremacy
I was the opposite with Elvis: I had high expectations (usually like Baz Luhrmann movies a lot) but I ended up thinking it was just fine. Mostly because I thought it was too long. And you know what? I blame Lauren Lopez. One day before I saw Elvis I had seen * that * TikTok of hers, and from the moment the movie hit the 40 min mark I was like. HOW do we still have _ minutes to go????????? And I kept thinking about that TikTok the whole time lol
But it's that thing... how much you like a movie depends on your mood sometimes. If I had watched it some other day, maybe I would have loved it.
On the other end of the spectrum, I thought I was gonna hate The Fabelmans (because I thought it was gonna be yet another Hollywood masturbatory experience) and I actually really really liked it. It was genuinely so good and such a good time.
